1939/1940 Ford 2 Door Sloper, Mercury V8 Flathead[Reco],3 speed on the tree. for sale

OK. hat is it? 1939/40 Ford Tudor sloper running with a 49 Mercury Flathead. Engine reconditioned with new pistons. ods. 0 thou over sized. Offenhauser finned heads.
New carby new water pumps. Gear box overhauled and is 3 on the tree. Clutch and selector linkages replaced.
Center bearing in torque tube replaced New shocks to rear and telescope shocks fitted to front. Ball joints replaced
Brake system [master cylinder. ines. hoes and drums] overhauled.
Steering box overhauled. new steering wheel.
Fuel tank flushed and sealed.
Re-wired front to rear with indicators fitted and electric wipers.
Instrument panel was burnt out. so fitted temp/fuel/oil/charge gauges.
Has split radiator. hence the 2 temp gauges with thermo fan.
Stainless twin exhaust system.
This is an all steel car with solid chassis. lbeit with some dings etc. Surface rust treated and covered with 3 coats of clear paint.
All glass replaced
Rims are 16" steel with new 205/60R/16 tires
FAULTS. Interior lights and radio not working. Crack in lower front left screen. Rear passenger windows need adjustment.

Drives like a 39/40 should . Plates included if sold in Queensland. Car is on club Rego.

Just a note on your car.My mate and i owned a slopey each in the late 50s early 60s . Mine was a '39 delux his was a 1940 standard ....Looking at your pics that's what it is , they had a '39 style grill made from dicast,.
Also they're fitted with '40 style headlights (first model with sealed beam headlights) and 1 "sargent stripe tail light, or 1 '39 "teardrop" style, on the DS only...If the doors are original they should have a 3/4 flip window...The wipers are correct as the '39 wipers were in roof above the windscreen..You have a very rare model ...Both our cars had well worked Mercs....Best fun we had was knocking off the hot FJ Holdens in those days...Hope this info. helps you get your price...Kenny..........
