70477 original miles, 2 owner car, must see!

You are looking at an original survivor 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 327 V8 and 70. 77 original miles. It has had what we believe to be two owners and has been well taken care of. Below is a video collection of the car:

This car was owned by the current female owner since 1975 and has been well kept. It has been garage stored over the years. and well maintained early in the storage. However. it has not been run in several years and is in need of a tune up. probable carburetor rebuild. and general maintenance / freshening up.

This car appears to be completely stock with the exception of a few items. The build date of the car is Wednesday. December 29th. 1965. The engine code is F1213HR and this vehicle retains it's numbers matching engine (VIN on block). The vehicle has 4 wheel manual disc brakes. power steering. am/fm radio and Powerglide 2 speed transmission.

Cosmetically. It has had a repaint in it's original color (sunfire yellow) that is weak - there is chalking. chipping. touch ups and peeling in spots. However. it still looks nice enough to drive and not be embarrassed. It retains the original black standard interior. The seats do show some seam separation. Also note that all the exterior panels appear to be original and we could not detect any major accidents aside from a very minor front left fender bender that was poorly repaired. The original front fascia and header bar remain. Also note for the hard core collectors - the A. I. R system is missing. as is the ignition shielding. Both are available if you look on eBay or through parts houses.  

Mechanically. it runs and drives but does need a carburetor rebuild so it has a hard time staying running. It steers / turns stops as expected. The clock is intermittent and the radio does not work well (very quiet). The gauges appear to work and the headlights go up and down. One high beam is burned out. The tail lights do not work but this is a probable ground issue. The wipers also do not work. The power antenna works as does the dash lights and power steering. The car also stops well. The tires are old and should be replaced due to age. The frame is nice when considering the age of the vehicle. We could only detect surface rust but did find a small mouse nest in the frame which is also not uncommon when a car is stored. Please see the photos to have a better gauge of vehicle condition.

Corvettes are truly an American icon and this is a nice unmolested original for the age. However. it will need work to be road worthy. It has a clear title as well.

This vehicle is sold as-is. We cannot warranty any parts and as with any vintage vehicle. they are always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding if you are looking for a vehicle that will operate like a new vehicle. Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature. and only drove the vehicle for a short distance. Also note there are marks and dings from use and age.

Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires. etc). The title is free and clear. and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this car is being purchased as-is.

It is a straight car as you can see in the photos. It would make a fun easy project for the do it yourself mechanic or father / son team.   As stated. it gets a ton of attention and would make a great addition to your Corvette or classic car collection.
