1934 Plymouth PE Sedan HOT ROD 34 Chev Dodge Desoto Mopar for sale
Current customer rating: (674 votes ) based onHere's an awesome start for your next hot rod project. This is a 1934 Plymouth PE Sedan and original x-member chassis.
Yes it's old and rusty but not so badly that it can't be fixed up. There is a very good place in Wodonga that can acid bath this body without removing too much metal (I just had another car done there).
The 34 is the one to have. it's what the hot rodders will tell you was the best year. Well. most of them :)
I'm sure you will have spotted the front grill shell with very rare original chrome surround. Just this part alone is worth upwards of $800. The original chassis is worth at least $2000 and by using the original '34 chassis you can register it as a 1934 Plymouth. If you manufacture a new chassis and put this body on it then it would be a 2014 Plymouth. This would also mean you have to apply all the new road safety regulations like anti-pollution gear and a bunch of other stuff.
We have four doors for it. There's some rust naturally but they were sourced separately and are in better condition than the body. We have obtained a bonnet top and will include that. We also found a correct original dashboard panel so that will be included. however it is missing the glove box door which is not a major issue.
Also we have the glass for the rear doors and can provide you with a pattern for the front door glass.
We do not have the front or rear windscreen or the rear side fixed windows.
We have an original 6-cylinder flathead motor from a 1938 Plymouth P6 that was RUNNING when we got it 4 years ago (the 38 now has a 350 Chev so the original motor is not required). If you wish to purchase the 38 motor complete with transmission we will be interested in your offer. otherwise it may be listed at a later date.
If you put a v8 into this chassis you will need to completely box the chassis and probably lose the original x-member in the process. If you fit an older engine (with lower horse power) you would expect to be fine with the original chassis with no major modifications so the x-member stays.
This car is available for pickup from Pakenham in Melbourne.
Preferred payment is bank transfer or cash at pickup please.

Comments and questions to the seller:
from Robert Hickman, dated 28 august 2016Gary,
I am responding to an old ad you posted in 2014!! Do you still have any 1934 Plymouth parts available? I am really looking for the complete Radiator Shell, Grill Insert, and Grill Trim Molding?
Thanks for your response,
Robert
