I've owned this classic corvette since 1998 and it's been garage kept throughout my ownership (the previous owner also).   I have ownership documentation dating back to 1983.   Date of restoration is unknown.   This is a well maintained. very clean. solid driver condition car. The 283ci. 283 HP engine runs excellent. with matching numbers components to original and correct specifications The engine ID # F513EL. casting # 3731548. and cylinder head # 3731539 are correct for 283ci 283 HP engine. The valve covers are the correct 7 rib notched cast aluminum.   The distributor # 1110908 is the correct dual point ignition for '57 283/283 Corvette.   The Rochester FI Unit part # 7014960 and serial # 10015 are correct for an EL engine code.   The brake master cylinder # 5456022 is correct. with big brakes.   The manual 4 speed transmission is not original. is a Borg Warner T-10 with ID # T-10 1B. replacement date is unknown.   The interior is factory correct but shows signs of wear. all gages are correct and in good condition.   The body is clean of defects with smooth lines but needs a little TLC and restoration attention.   There is a 3" tear in the soft top on the drivers side.   This car is mechanically sound and is in need of a cosmetic facelift.   I've enjoyed the car while I owned it. and I intended to restore it to it's original luster but then life just got in the way :-)  I hope the next owner can pick up where I left off.
