This is my ex-California 240Z auto. It is a very solid car and my intention was to swop it back to a manual gearbox and convert to right hand drive. That was a few years ago and it has sat in the shed ever since. I have 4 other vehicle projects in front of this and really its best going to someone who has time for it.
The car is UK registered as SFL342K. all duties paid and currently SORN'd. Tax exempt car as pre Jan 73.
I will get it outside and take some more snaps in the next few days.
Dent on the bonnet. shallow graze on the roofline. some surface rust in the wheelwell and some on the top of the cowl but its surface. not any worse (see last but one photo). There is no front bumper.
The strange paint scheme is just as it came from the States. Originally it was a blue-grey colour as this paint survives in the cowl area.
The engine has had new gaskets throughout and new hoses a couple of years back.
Please bear in mind its a 40 year old car. there are plenty of things to do and really it needs taking back to basics and doing right. I would recommend you come to see it before bidding.
Being ex California. you won't be forever chasing rust with this one as you will with a UK 240Z.

Auction will include the horn button which I found today and a few spares that I have. The steel headlight bowls came from a Scotsman who is always reasonable on Z Club but the original fibreglass?? examples are included. Took some snaps underneath the car to show you the floors and how solid they are but I'm now at my 12 photo limit.

A number of people have asked about documentation for the car. I confirm that I have the V5C issued in my name and my home address for SFL 342K (that is the Datsun 240Z that I am currently selling). This was issued by Peterborough DVLA. To get the number SFL 342K. I had to hand them the original Californian title document for the car and the HM Customs importation form showing that no duty was owing on the car.
So to re-cap. there are no customs duties to pay on the car.  it is UK registered and as it is 1972. road tax is free.

People keep asking me how much to send the car to different parts of the world. Look I'm not a shipper. I am just an ordinary bod selling a car. If you are in Germany. France. Denmark. Belgium. Spain or Outer Mongolia. it is for you to get your shipping agent to me to collect and pay for the car.
This is my fault when I listed the car. I meant to put UK only and thought I had but now I have noticed that the listing says that I will 'post to' a whole load of countries.  
So if you are in a country far away. please only bid if you can get someone here with cash in GBP Sterling or Euros to collect the car.
