1933 STANDARD BIG 9 Primrose/Black for sale

This is a 1932 built 1933 registered 4 door factory built Big Nine Tourer . According to records only 70 of this variant were built and currently she is the only one known to be left in existence.

We have known the vehicle for over 10 years now during which time we have carried out a ground up rebuild of the car. When the previous owner of the car purchased the vehicle restoration had been started. however the quality of the work was somewhat lacking and the decision was made to restart the project from scratch. Various problems have been met and overcome over the intervening years. and little work has been done in the recent passed. The previous owner was no longer able to fund the project and the vehicle was transferred to us to finish or find a new home for.

The list of work carried out is extensive. with the only major entity not having extensive work is the engine as this was rebuilt. by the owner before last who had the car for some 14 years. The car does come with an extensive history file. The picture of the car in blue is at it was just prior to the renovations commencing.

The body is now refinished in Primrose and black. which was organised by us. However the bonnet has suffered some damage during storage. and will need repainting. The gearbox has been overhauled as have the brakes. shackle pins. petrol tank and chassis generally. The exhaust is stainless. All the wheels bar one have been completely rebuilt by Richard Bros of Cardiff. The car is complete with seats. panels. weather gear and hood all in good order. a new wiring loom is partly fitted.

All the parts are present to complete the car along with a number of spares including a party reconditioned engine.

The car is to be sold as it is at present and we welcome interested buyers to come and view the car. We are able to complete the work on the vehicle at a cost over and above the sale price.
