Seller's notes: "We started with the cleanest stock 6X6 M818 Tractor with a winch from the military that we could find (I cherry-pick every truck we restore) - this one was already in excellent shape!First we pulled the 5th wheel off the back and the cab off the frame and went completely through the motor, stripped the frame and the body and reassembled it. Everything mechanical is touched – including the winch (see the more than 50 pictures below of what is involved just with that!).A 14' Drop-Side Cargo Bed from a 5-Ton donor truck was prepped, shortened by 5 feet using a laser level to make sure it is perfect and put it back together. We reinforced the welds and added additional bracing between the frame and bed so it is stronger than the original cargo box would have been.Note that this is often overlooked in order to save time, but since you lose 2 hard-point mounting brackets when you shorten the bed, we consider it a critically important modification if you plan to haul some serious cargo"
