This 1961 BT7 Austin-Healey 3000 has it all; Classic beautiful looks. nimble handling. strong brakes. and a bulletproof engine that runs exceptionally strong. The only word that I would use to describe the car's condition both mechanically and cosmetically is pristine. The popular British Racing Green paint is perfect and is offset by the black leather seats with contrasting white piping. Note the vintage competition seat belts on all four seats!  With brand new 185-65-R15 tyres and a new Die Hard battery this car is well sorted out and ready for the road. Please review the photos providing detailed evidence of its rust free excellent condition.

Bill Barnett. the second owner of this car was a charter member of the Austin-Healey Association of Southern California (AHASC) and had it in his possession for 25 years. Following an engine rebuild. he sold the car and began work on a 100.  After driving the BT7 for a while the new owner embarked on a complete restoration of the interior and exterior. Bill regretted having sold his BT7 and when it surfaced on the market he re-purchased it.   The car was then taken to respected British Car Restorer. Eric Grunden of Absolutely British in Santa Maria. CA to be freshened up. with instructions to repair or replace any part that needed attention to the tune of over $10. 00. Items covered include all electrical systems including wiring harness. distributor. brakes. shocks. seals. bearings. wheel spines. belts and hoses. carburetors and cooling system (Detailed invoice is available).

Shortly after getting his BT7 back. Bill who was in poor health passed away and I have been asked to help out in selling the car which is part of his estate. I have been involved with Big Healeys for over 25 years. having personally restored my 100 and a Bug-Eye with my son. and have served on the Board of Directors of AHASC for several years.

Please do not inquire about the reserve price. It is set at a level commensurate with the cars condition.   I want the car to be available to anyone who wants to bid. and I want the bidding to be on a level playing field. I believe this will help secure a fair price for a really exceptional automobile.  Also please do not enter the bidding process unless you are a serious buyer who is looking for a car that needs nothing and given proper care should provide many years of pleasure and pride of ownership from this truly unique example. Feel free to contact any third party mechanic to inspect the car at your expense.

Winning bidder is to provide $1000 deposit via cashier check within 72 hours of auction ending. Balance to be paid within 10 days.   Buyer is responsible for arraigning shipping.
