On offer is my 1979 Mercedes 250T AUTO. probably the rarest model in the S123 range-currently only 6 remain in the UK according to DVLA records.

This one is finished in DB808 AGAVE green with a Date Herringbone cloth interior.

I imported this car from Holland in 2011. herefore it is a LHD model.

This W123 estate is in very good condition all round and has been well maintained. You will struggle to find another like this in the UK outside of specialist dealers.

BODY-

The body is in exceptional condition with no known rust issues common to W123 models. Even the rear arches are original. There is a sticker on the drivers door jamb claiming that it has been treated with Dinitrol since 1994 so this has helped. There are one or two small chips/scratches here and there but nothing that detracts from the appearance.
All door check straps are good as are the tailgate gas struts.
All brightwork and chrome is very good-not cloudy like many.

Headlights are fairly new units.

MECHANICAL-

This car has the 2. 5 litre straight six M123 engine. It has a 4 barrell carb and runs very well- easy starting and no problems with the carb as is common to the 250 models. Recent head gasket and waterpump replacement. Keeps up with modern traffic with ease and lovely to drive with the 4 speed automatic transmission.

The self levelling suspension has had 2 new spheres so she rides beautifully and does not sag at the rear.

Steering is free from play and has had a recent drag link and damper replacement.

No known problems with the rest- transmission shifts smoothly. engine pulls strongly. diff is quiet.

MOT just passed last month with no advisories.

INTERIOR-

The interior is as close to pristine as you will find. I have sourced original NOS Mercedes carpet to replace the originals as they had faded. The results speak for themselves. I have taken great care to replace any trim peices that were even slightly damaged. All seat bases are good and even the drivers seat bolster is unworn.

This car has a very high specification which is unusual for one of these-

Electric windows all round
Heated front seats
Cruise Control
Headlamp wash/wipe
Two tone town/country horns
Electric Aerial
Rear Headrests
Load net/cover
Magazine net

Factory fitted towbar with electrics
Recent Becker Grand Prix CD headunit with Bluetooth.  ( negotiable-not included in sale price)

This is a very rare car and in exceptional condition- the price reflects this and I encourage anyone who is interested to come and view. This is a reluctant sale due to lack of suitable storage- this car deserves to be looked after and stored properly.
Serious enquiries only please.

from Rex Boatright, dated 18 september 2020
Where is the car now in the US?
Who is the owner?

from Joe, dated 27 january 2020
hello there... I bought this car from Scotland and imported it to the US a month ago. Looks like the owner that had it after you didn't care as much about it. It's going to need a good bit of work. Would love to chat with you about it. It is a beauty and I'm excited about bringing it back. Thanks so much.

Is this sold? Cannot tell from the posting. Can you send more photos? Jacking points, dash, front seats, boot side view, rear view etc?
Thanks
