A stylish & appealing sports saloon by king of coach-builders Hooper & co. The body is a stylish four door saloon with interior division. but has plenty of space up front making for a comfortable driving experience.

The car is something of a time warp having been laid up for 25 years in a dry barn. It was exhumed & recommissioned at vast expense over the last couple of years & during that time has run 3000 or so completely trouble free miles.

The Hooper body is fitted with a large working sunroof. It has an attractive body swage line pointing down towards the rear of the car accented by the black or the roof. Being a Hooper car the door shuts are exempelary. the timbers being in superb solid condition. The cream & black paint is in good order.

The work done to the car is extensive. expensive & comprehensive. A mass of bills from Fiennes Engineering & the like come with the car along with detailed & copious records for the years when its care was entrusted to Jack Barclay.

The extensive recent works include the following: Crank damper relined. complete clutch restoration. bearings. wheels with new stainless spokes . complete starter motor restoration. dynamo overhaul. one shot oiler rebuilt. the stainless cooling radiator restored in England by vintage wings & radiators. the heater recored. New original Rolls design stainless exhaust system . new leather on the front seats and on the bench . fresh new paint on the fenders . new electrical cables . new brake linings . new solenoid in tilting reflector headlights . new bulbs . New water pump impeller with a new repair kit . new king pins . new membranes in dual petrol pumps . new rotor . new cables. new plugs. New engine mount rubbers. new transmission rubbers new and excellent sport tires etc etc.

To the interior is Brown hide. with original door cars & rear seat backs. The benches front & rear have been replaced as they were past saving. Headlining is all original as is the interior woodwork. Indeed the whole inside has a wonderfully original untouched feel to it & is definitely a candidate for conservation & preservation. All the original blinds are present as are rear window curtains. A cocktail cabinet is fitted in the centre of the rear division bulkhead & contains a half full bottle of good Scotch.

On the road the car drives beautifully. The car when warm starts readily "off the switch" indicating good set up & compression. The engine runs quietly & pulls strongly running up to 60 or so MPH without effort. The temperature never goes over 70 degrees. Oil pressure remains excellent when hot. All in all it is a particularly good original example needing nothing as everything has already been done.
