Survivor Condition 1966 Triumph Herald 1200 Convertible. 27. 00 miles

One very careful owner from new. and kept in a garage over the past 14 years. Interior is pristine and even has the factory protective plastic inside the roof. Both door cards are like new. and the rear window is as clear as they day it rolled off the production line.

This Herald is a true survivor with factory paint. tool kit. log book. full service history and driver's manual. Recently cleaned and detailed. there are some areas where the paint has deteriorated. but wear is commensurate with the age. and the patina only adds to its beauty.

The car has been mechanically overhauled and has a new MOT. Replacement brake shoes and cylinders. exhaust box. new clutch and brake master cylinders. clutch slave cylinder. track rod ends. distributor cap. leads. and rotor arm. At considerable expense we fitted brand new set of  Michelin XAS FF Tyres. these are the first radial tyres from 1965 with the original tread pattern.   The carburettor is re-built. engine set up and re-timed. and the radiator re-cored.

Please get in touch to see more detailed photos of the car. This car is advertised elsewhere. so listing can end at any time.

I've seen the 1200 Herald convertible still on this site but is it up for sale?

from Paul Lee, dated 06 june 2021
Hi, I owned one of these cars in 1977 (that was a D reg too) can you send me the more detailed photos you mention please? I'd particularly like to see the areas where the 'paint has deteriorated' I'm assuming from your description the engine and gearbox are performing how you would expect from a car of this mileage? Kind regards, Paul
