FORD CORTINA MK2 - 1600 GT - 1970 - NEVER WELDED for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 828 votes

Ford Cortina Mk2 1600 GT. Imported from hot dry climate  and its Right Hand Drive. This car has never been welded and does not need any. It comes with years mot and tax and full uk registration. All vat and import duties have been paid.

Body - Type 97 GT shell which is completely solid and has no rot. Appears to be mainly all original except possibly the offside wing. Car is nice and straight with only a couple of minor bubbles at bottom of rear arch. The body really is in incredible condition for its age. The car has been repainted at some stage. Red is its original colour. The paintjob is fine but certainly not up to show car standard.

Interior - Standard GT all dials work. Door cards are good but drivers and rear seats are damaged by wear and the sun. Stitching has also burst on the steering wheel and there are cracks on the dash top.

Mechanicals - Standard Gt. Engine starts first time and runs well. Gearbox is quiet but has jumped out of second a couple of times.

Wheels - aftermarket horrible chrome things

Overall this is a very solid car which only needs cosmetics to make it as good as any other. i. e you wont have to spend six months welding it back together. Any questions please ask or call 07879 557668

Thanks

Hi, Have just spotted this old ad of yours and was wondering if its you guys that have been advertising imported cars recently? I am after a Cortina MK2 2Door GT to restore but don't want a rot box. Is this something you may be able to source for me.
Regards, Dave.
