MORRIS MINOR 1955 PICK UP

This beaut Morris Minor Pick up is currently in Auckland NZ.  Driven regularly- hits 60mph easily enough and is a head turner!
This was manufactured in 1954. and imported to NZ as a Chassis cab. The pick up back is an original Wilco Welside. build in Auckland by the Wilton Motor Body Cov. . rom the mid 1950s as NZ wouldn't allow UK backs to be imported.  This is the 6th oldest Minor LCV Chassic cab on the UK LCV register and about the 80th LCV on this register. There is only a few in NZ of this age. so IF YOU WANT  A RARE MORRIS. this is it!If this does get sold to the UK it is likely to be the only Morris Minor Wilco in the UK. and the second oldest Chassis Cab in the UK (as registered on the UK LCV register)It is in sound original condition.  Currently has a 950cc morris motor that runs very well. Few oil drips from the rear end of motor- slight only. No tears in upholstry. excellent carpets.  Paint is weary with a few bubbles and some scratches. Very sound body. guards doors. chassis etc. Sills have been well repaired at some stage- no rust visible underneath in floor pain or chassis. Photo of this on one side. Picture of patch on chassis at front- well done.  Picture of front corner of Welco back from underneath that shows a little rust. but this in not visible from above nor is is structural as part of ute back. Few other very small bits of rust on wilco ute back but very minor. It is currently warranted and registered in NZ- we have checks for road worthiness every 6 months. It recently has had a muffler replaced. battery and brake work done. Brakes work great for a Morris!The previous owner fisholened the inside of the chassis so it would last another 60 years (sealed off all holes and poured fisholine into chassis). Good sound original floor pans.

****26/5/13 I rang shipping company and they said estimate still valid- 1320 GBP at todays exchange rate for Auckland to Southampton. This is buyer responsibility to pay as discussed prior. They also said having spare engine on the back may be problematic as they worry about oil contamination. I have removed this from above. If this is a problem please let me know.  I will put a picture of quote if I can.
