1967 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8 Please Read All

MotorCarTrader. com is proud to offer another great Classic Sports car. This great 1967 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8 had two owners throughout its entire life. The 2nd owner we purchased this car from had this car for 40 years.  He purchased this car from the original owner. who was given this car as a graduation gift when it was new. The car spent its life (after it was shipped from the factory new) in North Carolina and South Carolina. This beautiful Austin Healey underwent a full restoration completed in 2008 by a marque specialist. There are invoices for the work done as well as some pictures of the restoration. The Healey was finished in gorgeous Old English White with stunning new black leather seats with white piping and all new interior. This was a comprehensive restoration (everything was done). including a complete rebuild of the engine. An upgraded 5-speed transmission was added which really makes the car so much easier and fun to drive. This has synchro in every gear and shifts silky smooth. Only about 900 miles have been placed on this car since completion of the restoration. This car can be driven anywhere. and is an absolute joy to drive.

More details on this special Austin Healey and some of the work done. but certainly not limited to the following: This is a numbers matching car and we have the Heritage Certificate to confirm originality and numbers. The chrome has been redone or replaced including new 60 spoke chrome wire wheels with new knock offs. A new complete wiring harness has been installed and all electrical components have been gone through. The oil pressure on the car is excellent (above 40 pounds at warm idle) and the compression is also excellent at 150psi to 155psi across all 6 cylinders. The underside and engine bay are very clean and all painted the body color (as they should be). A new stainless steel exhaust was installed during the restoration. All front end and rear end suspension and bushings are new. The brakes have all  been redone. The car stops perfect and straight. A new top with matching new boot have been installed.    

Overall: This is one of the nicer Austin Healeys offered on the market today that was restored to drive and enjoy with a few nice driving upgrades. In addition. not many Austin Healeys have this long term ownership and only 2 owners since new. It was well maintained throughout its life and after restoration was driven sparingly. This is a great opportunity to own a truly special and great Austin Healey for an investment and to enjoy for a very long time.
