Another ONE AND ONLY by ANGRY DOG TRUCKS !!!!!!!!!!

We can only TRY summaries all the work in this Beauty…

So here is it in a little more detail….

Truck was stripped of every nut. bolt. washer. screw and wiring.   It was taken to it's most raw state.   Then media blasted to remove all paint and rust.

After renovating over 7 of these trucks in the last few years we have learnt a thing or ten…

There was some minor rust as can be expected yet nothing major.   All rust is cut out and correct gauge sheet metal welded in.

This truck got an entire new bed including new rear fenders.

The truck was then completely assembled to ensure correct lines then stripped and painted.

Then comes the pain staking procedure of primer and blocking to ensure 110% perfection.

Once our experts are happy with the body work – 4 weeks of prep! -  then the truck goes into paint shop and received 5 coats of base coat followed by 5 coats of clear.   

Baked for 48 hours then let to cure for 4 weeks before it was color sanded and buffed.

The floor pans of these trucks are really weak and supported only by the original bench seat.   As we decided to go with new electric seats. we fabricated an all new designed floor pan to add strength and support and accommodate the LS engine.

After years of experience and trying numerous frame modifications. boxing original frame. Mustang front ends and so on we designed and build our own frames.

Frames are built on a computer designed Jig.   Channel steel is used for rails instead of “C” bar used on original frames.   Frames are built to receive Corvette suspension and cross braced for added support.

This frame was powered coated black.

A Corvette was purchased and stripped for the front and rear suspension.   The suspension was removed and completely rebuilt incl:

Finally All aluminum suspension parts were polished for that chrome shine!

A LS 5. 3 Engine and 4L60 Automatic transmission was sourced from a 2008 Chevy Blazer with only 34 000 miles on it.   The Engine had all the emissions removed and received upgraded injectors.

The transmission was run on a dyno by top transmission builder to ensure it was in perfect condition.   Both engine and Transmission were fully serviced.

 A NEW custom made wiring loom for the engine was purchased and fitted.   This is not a CUT AND MODIFIED original harness.

Engine Control Module is reprogramed to provide the true LS power.

The interior was is ALL LEATHER!!!

6 Way Electric Seats wrapped in plush lather and double stitched.   Custom center console.   4 Speaker sound system with amplifier.

Custom made headliner and Steering wheel wrapped in leather.

 New Chrome tilt steering column.

The chassis received a Complete new wiring system with 20 circuit fuse protection.

New Custom Vintage look Gauges with Tachometer. Oil Pressure. temp and Fuel Gauge

Electric windows and power locks attached to remote.

“Vintage Air” Air Conditioning system with heat and windshield defrost!

Truck rolls on 18 inch wheels!

The bed. as mentioned. is all new sheet metal.   Maple wood was used for a deeper look.   Polished Stainless steel strips with hidden bolts.   Then for a final touch a bed lid was installed.

Just so much it is hard to remember.
