I assume that most people will want to see the car in person before bidding on it.  I live in Maryland. and the car. which belonged to my parents before they died. is in Missouri.  If you need to see the car. call me at 301-801-8543. and I'll give you my friend's number so you can set up a time to see it. (I'm not including his number here because I don't want to make him answer every call about the car. ) Feel free to call or email if you have questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
Here's what I know:
The engine doesn't turn over.  I tried putting in a new battery. but when I turn the key. it does nothing. The tags indicated that it was last driven in 1995. but I don't think it's been quite that long since my dad last started it.
The car has between 37. 00 and 38. 00 miles on it.
It's always been garaged. When I was back for the estate sale. I checked out the car as best I could. There seems to be only a little rust on the body. but of course what I consider a little others might consider a lot. I checked under the body somewhat (I didn't get on a roller). in the wheel wells and under the floor mats (both pictured).  There is a spot of rust (pictured) bubbling up near each headlight. and some rust along the bottom side where it looks like it was scraped. but not dented.  When it was driven. we'd only take it out during the summer. The subdivision roads are "paved" each summer by putting down oil and pea gravel and we would pack it down by simply driving on the roads. This annoyed me when I was in high school because gravel would fling up on the car. but it was also coating the undercarriage. which I think protected it at least somewhat.
The convertible top is in bad shape.
It's missing the turn indicator lever.
The dash is cracked near the center (pictured).
Overall. the car is just plain dirty. My dad didn't clean it or the garage. It's covered with saw dust and dust. However. nbsp;I really do think the body is in decent shape. and I don't know what's happened to the engine while it sat.
The manual and title are intact. although on the manual my dad kept notes of regular maintenance.
Winning bidder must tow away the car. It's locked in a garage in a secluded area and my friend will let you in. You can hand the cashier's check to him at pickup.
