Hi and thanks for stopping by to take a peek. /p>

It is with a heavy heart and a good dose of reality that I have decided to part with my GT6 MK2 as an unfininshed project I would think about 90 percent done but please take a peek to see where I am with her. I've been building her since 2010 but have not to admit that I don't have the time to complete the home stretch as my Mk2 Vitesse convertible needs a bit of time spent on her. I'm far from desperate to sell and will retire her to my garage if she doesn't go and hopefully In a year or two I'll find the time to complete her.

I bought this car from a chap who had it standing in his dry garage for 12 years as evidenced by the tax disc! He had owned it since the early 80's and there was only 1 previous owner before him so I'm the 3rd.

My intention was to build a road car that I could also compete in Hill Climbs and sprints and the odd tour. With this in mind please note this car is far from standard

So the car was basically sound except a bit of tin worm in the inner arches and behind the seats these have all now been repaired pls. excuse my untidy but very solid welding. There is no filler on the car save where I've tried to tidy the afore mentioned welding. I stripped everything off the body and took any surface rust off before treating and repainting. so the chassis and underbody and nice and clean and rust free the floors are excellent and needed nothing. There were still odd bits here and there on the body so I gave them a quick coat of hammerite spray just to “hold” them until time to re spray (see pics) so it looks a bit of a patchwork but you can see everything nothing is hidden under a quick blow over and polish. I've kept all of the re useable bits and these go with the car together with a spare engine I acquired so you will probably need a van. Apologies if any small bits are missing they may have been thrown by mistake.

To save weight I purchased a fibreglass front. about 2/3rds the weight of the steel one. I of course have the steel bonnet and it's a cracker completely rust free.

So starting from the back

New clutch slave cylinder with braided hose

Oil feed pipe to back of cylinder head

8 x Dunlop 5 ½ j steel wheels (7 with tyres) plus the 4 she sits on

Still to do/buy Suspension geometry set up. fluid in brakes. needs headlights and seats electric fan. oil cooler and paint.

I think that's most things I'll add anything I may have forgotten. I have all the bills (these run into 000's as you might imagine from the above) plus the history prior to my purchase.

She runs well and revs smoothly quickly as well due to the flywheel with good oil pressure and all the gears work at least up and down my drive.

Please do ask any questions I have heaps of pics so let me know if you would like to see anything in particular. or better still pop down for a look and a cuppa. you can even have a test drive. well to the end of the drive an d back!

You will of course need to trailer her away which is lucky because she comes with a good beavertail single axle trailer with lighting and nearly new tyres. It's easy totow and nice and compact as I bought it to fit in my garage which it does nicely with a car on board.

These Mk2's are by far the most desirable even with this in mind I've set a low starting price with no reserve as I'd like to sell so you could grab yourself a bargain. However please bid to buy not haggle as I won't because I'm happy not to sell. Bidders please note I'd like a £250 deposit immediately when the auction ends and full payment within 7 days please. I've also attached a pic of how she looked when I bought her.

I could help with delivery within about a 50 mile radius of Woking. Surrey and we can chat about that

Good luck and Happy bidding
