Very sadly for sale as my life has taken a different direction. my absolutely beautiful Triumph Spitfire. This absolute little beauty was fully restored in 2007 to top concours standard as has been kept that way.  Although a Mk IV. this little car sports 1500 running gear and engine.  The engine was rebuilt last year and has been lightened. balanced and ported with a race head. weber 45 dhoc and kent fast road cam.  Also replaced were shocks and springs at the front and all suspension was re powder coated. Gas spax shocks are fitted all round. Stainless steel 4 branch sports exhaust is also fitted. The interior is stunning in cream leather and red trim with a burr walnut dashboard and radio console with a cd player. This spitfire is an absolute little gem and has given me a lot of pleasure over the years.  She has won lots of car of the show trophies plus is a spirited drive on track days and autosoloTax exemptFirst to see will buy. I am willing to consider sensible offers and buyer to collect. Once an offer has been accepted. payment and collection must be within 7 days

And I owned it shortly after - I sold it when moving to France in 2000 - it was still blue then. Many happy memories

Just a small correction to my son's comments, I bought the car in 1983 and I think I owned it until 1985. It was dark blue then but looks great in red.

Hi,
I am very interested in this car as my mother owned this very car as her first in the 70's and was forced into selling it. I had an idea to try and track it down as it is a classic with collectable value, and to our delight found your article on this site. Could you provide more details such as does the engine now run on unleaded petrol and any faults with the car.

Many Thanks
Alex Scammell
