Finished in rare blue black metallic and saffron interior (Lack-Code - 199 - blauschwarz/ Polster-Code - 274 - safran). this example represents the very high point of the venerable R107 series.  This is a final production year car (Model Year 1989) and at 5. 6 litres is equipped with the largest displacement engine ever offered in this chassis. (Over its seventeen-year run. the 107 was variously offered in 2. 8 L. 3. 0 L. 3. 5 L. 3. 8 L. 4. 2 L. 4. 5 L. 5. 0 L and 5. 6 L guises. )  
This matching numbers example has been sparingly driven. covering an average of 3. 00 miles per year.  As expected. the motor runs effortlessly while the transmission shifts with smooth precision.   Outside. the car is in similarly exceptional condition. having been repainted and reupholstered at a cost in excess of USD 30. 00 just three years ago.   The four alloy wheels were also restored to an exceedingly high standard with a factory fresh finish.    The work was undertaken by a specialist coach builder and restorer of classic motorcars.  Receipts detailing work will be included with sale.
