1991 Mercedes Benz 500SL-32 [R129] Roadster Rare Colour Exceptional Condition

 If you are reading this. the R129 500 SL needs no further introduction. Released in 1989. fitted with the legendary M119 5. 0 V8 engine as used in the 1990 Mercedes Benz C11 Sauber race car. and in this form. produced 326 bhp. The cost new of cira £80. 00. put it in the price range as many exotic cars. and during the 90's was a status symbol of success. This particular car was purchased new by a CEO of a UK Based PLC in October 1991. The gentleman ordered it in rarely seen Crystal Green metallic. with even rarer green (076a) interior trim. with the "a" denoting that this option was ordered on demand / special request including coloured steering wheel and gear selector. Finally a dark chocolate coloured mohair roof. with the plastic rear windows in excellent condition and with no white haze that many others have developed over the years. In undeniable excellent rust free condition. this 500 SL is beautifully preserved with only a few very minor. unnoticeable blemishes that one would expect on a car of less than 5 years old. These marks are mainly noticeable on the wheels which have a few paint blisters on the edge of two out of the four alloy wheels. There is hardly any stone chips to neither front bumper nor bonnet. Inside the original cloth interior trim. wears much better than the usual leather. and apart from a threadbare patch on the drivers bolster. still remains fresh and free of creases. The interior plastics are remarkably fresh. with no cracks or unsightly scuffs that so many others suffer from. Most importantly. its "dry as a bone" inside with no mold. or smells of previous damp. I know this next phrase is often used in adverts. but I genuinely looked long and hard to find one of this originality and condition. I can only hope it attracts the same buyer. Do not confuse this with "average" cars available for sale. some of which are still asking £6-7k. Whilst mine is not show room condition. its a beautiful. usable example which stands as a testament to Mercedes build quality. and is a result of owning a well maintained classic Mercedes. With a total of 17 Service stamps. 12 of which are from the same owner. All these services have been stamped regular as clock work until the last two which have a 14. 00 miles gap between 83. 00 miles and 97. 00 miles. although i do have receipts within this time frame.
Equipped with electric seats that work all ways. electric rear view mirror. Tempomat cruise control. remote locking which works off original flip key. ice cold working air conditioning with  manual climatic control. all round green tinted glass from factory. dark brown folding top. hard top. CD Changer. electric mirrors. ASR. headlight wash system. electric windows. and power steering. The electrically retractable roof works without fuse and needs no assistance. as does the hardtop secure and release electrically without fuss.
Please be aware that I am indeed no hurry to sell what my partner affectionately refers to as Willow. and although I am open to offers. please be both respectful and realistic whilst making me an offer. as not to waist either yours or my time.
