1938 MG TA
This car has not seen the day of light since late 1960. It has been restored. not quite finished. then stored away in a garage in Virginia USA. The complete ash frame was done new. panels were all fitted and restored. Some panels. as the doors. were never actually fitted as there are no hinge holes in the new timber. The body and panels are all very solid and strong. Since 1960 the car picked up some surface rust. the newly then painted chassis and mechanical components have the top layer of paint flaking off. It looks like all mechanical aspects were reconditioned - axles. bushes. trunions. brakes etc. new wiring loom not completely connected. The gearbox and several engine components came separately. as the car had been fitted with a 1930's 6 cylinder BMW 315 engine and gearbox (!). This sale includes all you see in the photos. including all loos gearbox and engine parts shown. The BMW 315 engine and gearbox is being sold in a separate auction.  If anyone would be interested in the car as is. with the 315 BMW engine. please let me know.
Please feel free to contact me for any questions you might have 07557908093. This is an auction with no reserve. Full payment must be made within 24hrs of end of sale. I might be able to arrange delivery. depending on destination.

Comments and questions to the seller:

from Tim, dated 28 april 2018
Hi I am interested in the ta project car, can you tell me if it is complete except for the engine and gearbox - all suspension steering, brakes, pipe work, wiring, panels, instruments switches, seats, upholstery, roof, tonneau, side screens. It appears none of the nine auxilliary's are present (generator starter, carbs, distributor etc). I assume there is no trace of original engine and gearbox or the period correct engine and gearbox. Thanks
