A rare & beautiful BMW Cabriolet supplied new to Sweden before the war. Until 1965 it belonged to the well known car historian
Sven Harnstrom. The current Swedish owner bought it from him as a young man & has owned it for Decades being kept at his private estate in Sweden along with an assortment of other well maintained vehicles.

Early on the car benefitted from having the 80hp 328 engine installed. In recent years this engine has had a complete rebuild including assorted performance upgrades so it is now putting out around 110 HP. This makes for very spirited performance & transforms the car to a very serious driving machine.

The car is finished in a particularly suitable colour scheme of primrose yellow over black. the two tone scheme accentuating the lovely flowing lines of the coach work. The paint is in very tidy order without being concours.

To the interior is patinated red leather with the sort of wear you might find in your favourite Chesterfield arm chair. Very serviceable. very comfortable without being brand new. A snug mohair hood is fitted which erects simply by pulling it upright & latches to the header rail with two brackets.

To drive this car is really a revelation & makes you understand why they were so popular in period for haring down the newly opened autobahns. The car pulls strongly in all gears & emits a pleasing rasp from the exhaust. Handling is excellent & the car will quickly show a clean pair of heels to an equivalent Derby Bentley. The all syncro 'box is a pleasure to use with smooth delicate changes easily effected.

Luggage space is accessed by folding down the rear seats allowing access to the rear storage area. The car needs nothing mechanically & is absolutely ready to go. It is in stock in our showrooms now for immediate viewing.
