What we have here is an MGA on steroids. Vast money has been spent upon it to bring it up to very fast road spec & considerably above a twin cam performance wise.

A body off restoration was done in the late 1990's by CW engineering in Leicester. The chassis was stripped to bare metal & the car painted in its original colour of Orient red. Whilst in bare metal the chassis was zinc coated for additional protection.

The car was mechanically restored with rebuilt suspension. new radiator. electrics. a new interior. hood. side screens. tonneau. wiring loom & a stainless steel exhaust.

In 2006 the car was upgraded with a fast road 1950cc MGB engine built by Octarine services. twin SU carbs fitted along with a modern alternator. starter motor. MGB clutch & fast road distributor. A ford 5 speed box was also fitted giving silent running & seamless modern gear changes. An oversize radiator was also at the time fitted to take care of cooling in the balmy climes of the south of France where the car has resided.

The suspension now uses MGB front discs. an MGB anti roll bar & Koni shock absorbers dramatically improving handling. 4500 mile have been covered on the new engine. The car sits on four 72 spoke wire wheels shod with Michelin XAS tyres. New master & slave cylinders have also been fitted along with three point safety belts.

Currently having an MGB hood. the original MGA hood also comes with the car. The seats are black leather original MGA seats recovered & piped in red. The car is in excellent condition with good panel fit & shuts. It drives superbly with the performance being quite dramatic compared to the original. This is a real drivers car. The car comes with both UK & french plates & a french controlé Technique; a Gallic version of our UK MOT.

In stock now the car is residing in our grays showroom alongside a similarly coloured twin cam model.
