Reliant Regal Supervan III

A very rare opportunity to acquire an even rarer vehicle! A Reliant Regal Supervan. or otherwise known as a Delboy Van!

This is not to be confused with the usual overpriced rubbish that is out there - this one is amazing!

Showing one registered keeper on the V5 and only 155 miles from new!

Sounds unbelievable?! The story behind this one is that it was bought brand new back in 1972. and was placed straight into a barn. where it remained for the next 40 years until it was 'discovered' with only 33 miles showing on the clock!

Now re-registered with DVLA (showing only one registered keeper) and showing a total of 155 miles - There is no real proof of the mileage. other than the condition of the car.  I do however have last years MOT (the first since being put back on the road). showing 43 miles and then this years MOT showing 146 miles - clearly very little use!

It has recently been fully re-commissioned and restored due to not being used for 40 years!

It now benefits from:

- Full new break system - lines. flexi hoses. pistons. master cylinder. shoes etc.

- New tyres.

- Head gasket and seals changed. sump gasket and carb gasket also replaced

- New water pump. belt hoses and thermostat.

- New HT leads. distributer coil. voltage converter. fuse box. flasher unit.

- New dynamo

- Halogen headlight conversion. no more dim sealed units!

- New indicators and foot switch.

- New wipers.

- New choke cable.

- New exhaust

Plus much. much more! Anything not replaced has obviously been refurbished or re-commissioned.

It has literally just been for an MOT. which expires 22/04/2015.

Tax is free due to its age.

This vehicle is ready for some serious fun or to start earning some easy money!

Mechanically it is excellent. having had a recent full overhaul.

The chasis is amazing. probably the best I have ever seen - you will not find one in better condition! Likewise. the fuel tank is in excellent condition - along with the chasis. these are both common suspect areas.

The bodywork is excellent. with none of the usual dodgy fibreglass repairs. The paintwork is nice and fresh. with a good finish - there are a few areas which are not perfect. as is always the case with these fibreglass vehicles.

It has been intentionally left 'clean' so that new owner has the choice whether to leave it as it is. or 'dirty' as required! This is obviously very easily done with a can of black spray paint!

It boasts the full 'Trotters' livery. together with a vintage roof rack and suitcase!

The interior is like a time warp! I have never seen original seats in such good condition. An even rarer sight are factory fitted rear seats. again original and in amazing condition - these rear seats are like hens teeth. and in this condition is virtually un heard of! The door cards are original and in great condition. as is the carpet.

The rear fibreglass shell has been covered with a tiger print material - otherwise. it is all original inside.

Everything on this van works (very rare)! This includes the interior light (which I have never seen a working one before!). the heater/blower and of course all the lights etc.

All of the doors correctly open and close. with them lining up perfectly with the body - again. this is very rare - on most of these the doors 'drop' and are hard to close and don't sit flush with the vehicle.

Most importantly. this is a genuine van and not a 'car' with the side windows filled in AND has the factory fitted rear seats!

If your looking that this advert then I guess you know what your looking at!  I am more than happy for any prospective buyers view the vehicle if they are at all unsure what they getting - in fact it is encouraged. to fully appreciate how superior this is to the other ones out there!

Likewise. I know a bit about these vehicles - and what they are worth! Please no silly offers. this is not a desperate sale and I will not be giving it away. swapping it for your Nissan Micra. or sending it to Nigeria!

I am only selling as I could do with the space - this is one of my spare vehicles. (in case if 'issues' with my main one) but I have never had use it and this is far to good to be a 'spare'! I am downsizing my collection. but as previously stated I am not desperate to sell. With their value increasing year on year. I am just as happy to hold on (if I can arrange more space!).
