Peugeot 402 - a large family car, produced by the company Peugeot in 1935 - 1942gg in France. The car came to replace the obsolete Peugeot 401. Were built and sold about 75 000 cars.
The machine is a typical Peugeot his time: the massive before, the deep-set lights. This four-door sedan, published with 3 different wheelbases: 2, 880mm (short), 3,150 mm and 3,300mm. The standard saloon car seat 5 passengers. Style like something Chrysler Airflow.
The car had a 4-cylinder engine, with a capacity of 70 HP at 1991 rpm. Later, power was increased to 2142 rpm. Maximum speed of the car was 120 km/h, making it the fastest car of its class.
During the Second World war was released 2 500 models of Peugeot 402, working on gas. The machines were equipped with devices, which allow to operate on natural gas, received at burning of charcoal. The car, in this case, could drive 80 km, before there was a need to re-fill it.
