Ford F-1
The Ford F-Series - a series of large pickup trucks, which were produced Ford Motor Company for half a century. Ford F-1 is the first car in the series, the production of which started in 1948, lasted until the end of 1952. Directly Ford F-1 had the capacity 1/2 ton, however, also produced F-2 (3/4T), F-3 (3/4T), F-4 (1.25t), F-5 (1.5T), F-6 (2T). There were also F-7, which was a school bus on the basis of the Ford F-1 and F-8, which was a full-fledged truck cab over the engine. In Canada and some other countries, the car is sold under the same name - Ford Mercury.
During the time of its appearance, the car was quite a modern design and good technical snap-in. Under the hood of the Ford F-1 in the different years of release were different engines with a volume of 226 CID (95 HP), 239 CID (100 h.p.) 254 CID (110 HP). and 337 of the CID (145 HP.). Is available a few transmissions: a three-tier, four-and five-speed mechanical gearbox. The rear suspension was springs, front - cross-linkages. All wheels have hydraulic drum brakes, with the servomechanism.
