I'm selling my British racing green 1493 cc Triumph Spitfire. I have owned it for the last 15 years and have a full service history dating back to 1999 (when I bought it).
I have always had it professionally serviced & maintained where ever possible by a triumph specialist. It has working overdrive (which is by no means a given with these cars) and all the electric's have been given a once over by an auto electrician friend of mine who makes his living servicing the kinds of cars you see racing at the Goodwood revival.
You'll see in the photo's that it has a a Moto steering wheel fitted and a number of extra dials in the dash. I have both the original steering wheel and the original centre piece of the dash which will be included in the sale should the new owner want to revert to the originals. The car will also come with a Haynes manual and photos of the car from the first owner. when he did a body off restoration in the late eighties.
The car has also had a complete front an rear suspension rebuild over the years removing the driver side sag you often see on the rear suspension in these cars and as result it corners really well and gives a really good ride.
It's been on a ramp a number of times has no rust in the sills that I'm aware of. I have spent money on the mechanics and is shows in the reliability. I have used it as a daily commuter car (country roads only) over a number of summers as well as trips to Ireland. Scotland. Wales and most recently France in 2013 all without fault.
Over the years a number of classic modifications have been made including the following.
* Twin SU carburettors professionally tuned by wimbledon carburettors* Twin sports exhaust and manifold

The car isn't concourse condition

* Small cut and cracking on the dash.

* Driver side interior door could do with being replaced

* Near side wing has some paint bubbling. (this has been here since I have owned and never changed).

The car has and MOT until August 2104 and has been garaged all the time I owned it and SORN in the winter months.
