1958 Chrysler Saratoga Spring Special 

Regrettably and because of increased work commitments. I'm offering my gorgeous Chrysler for sale.   Originally purchased for use as a wedding car but my plans have now changed.   I'm told she is a 58 Spring Time Special with a 5. 9 litre Spitfire V8 under hood and has only covered 66. 00 miles. which I'm told. is correct.

Previous owner had her 17 years and the condition confirms how well this old girl has been looked after. The logbook also confirms she came to the U. K in 1990 from California.

The following describes the car accurately but of course feel free to contact me with any questions.

Bodywork.

As you would expect from a dry climate. the body is pretty much all rust free with incredible floor pans and immaculate chassis. The body to be honest is laser straight and although she's seen paint like most of these old classics have. You won't find any welding or filler. unlike a lot of 50's British cars.   There is of course the odd stone chip or scratch but nothing to distract from how fabulous this car looks.   The chrome work is tremendous and all badges and trim are present and in excellent condition.

Interior

Again this is in lovely condition with new seat coverings. carpets and various bits of trim. The door panels are original and in superb condition. as with the headliner and dash top.   All dials lights. switches and locks work perfect. however the radio has been replaced by a cassette radio which I had intended to change for an original unit.

Mechanicals

The power unit is fantastic with a lovely autobox. new brakes throughout and she drives without fault. I never imagined a 50's American car of this stature to drive like this and she will waft along in silence at 70 miles per hour.

Summary

I could write volumes on how nice this car is but the written word cannot do this old slice of American pie justice. She is perfect for weddings or just for weekend cruises. events and classic car shows. Either way. the next owner will have no regrets. she is gorgeous.

Now the boring bit.

The reserve is set at what I feel is a fair price for such an iconic car. She is also MOT exempt but is taxed until 2015. Finally. please can I respectfully ask that bidders don't play games and put on high bids to try and reveal the reserve. then retract the bids.
