vw early bay window deluxe micro bus

  HERE WE HAVE A VERY RELUCTANT SALE OF MY EARLY BAY WINDOW BUS. project. ?   ( also the t4 caravelle. 2. 5 petrol. lowererd on AUDI TT rims. is for sale too @ £2500)

its a 1971 deluxe micro bus. imported from texas last year by the previous owner. it was brown and tatty. but rust free. so it was tidied up and resprayed in its original colour sceme.

all the arches + seams were all still original and untouched. due to the climate in texas. the chassis and underneath is all original and in unwelded condition.

the body had some dents sorted out. but it's certainly not show standard. but I like it that way. as I planned on giving it a patina look with some old skool sign writing !

I've only put about 400 miles on it since taking ownership. just attending a few shows last year. its been unused for approx 6 months. so the mot expired in feb and its on a tax sorn (tax exempt anyway)

the twin port 1600 pulls well. the gearbox and clutch all work as they should do too. with no crunches or strange noises. the brakes were more of a cause for concern. although they worked enough to stop it. they pulled to one side more than they should.   so these will sure need attention for the mot. as will the steering box. which has been tightened up + adjusted so much over the years. that it now has excessive play in it.   this didn't really bother me too much either. as i was going to convert it to a later bay steering box along with electronic power steering.

with it being a deluxe. it's got the chrome body trims and some other nice bits. along with  extras like the rare blue top tint windscreen. chrome wind deflectors etc.

the inside needs sorting out. the rear seat is there. but everything is looking tired and 'well patina'd ! . but great for the shows with plenty of chillin out space. !

i purchased the p. a. s kit along with loads of other new stuff like door and window seals. cab rubber mat + more.   all these cost me well over £600. which i will be including in the asking price.

SO AS I SAID. THIS IS A VERY. VERY. RELUCTANT SALE. so no timewasters or silly offers. it's worth double this price with a grand or so spent on it !!

I'm selling it as a project bus. due to no tax + mot. and the brakes and steering box requiring attention.   so a trailer/pick-up collection would be best.
