Morris Minor Pickup Truck (The rare Austin badged model)*

 MORRIS MINOR PICKUP 1969 ORIGINAL IRISH CAR

I have for sale my Morris Minor pickup. it is the rare AUSTIN  badged version. this is an original Irish vehicle. Dublin registeration. 1969 model. nbsp;  U - -   -

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PICKUP.    not a cut down van. the  chassis no. starts with  A  AUC - -   - -
This means A = Austin    A = A Series     U = Utility    C = Commercial

I have owned it for the last 19 years. It has the brown tax book. It has recently being painted. it was green. now it is black.

It is currently taxed and insured. Taxed as vintage 56 euro per year.

 The chassis is 100%. it is Waxoyled and undersealed. chrome is very good. stainless  steel is very good. paintwork very good. some parts have been powder coated


It has a few improvements made to it. here is the list………….

*   MG Midget 1275 cc engine currently fitted with 1 ¾  Metro SU Carburetter on water heated manifold.

*   Engine showing excellent oil pressure

*   Correct  commercial type front bumper fitted. not a saloon one

*   Correct commercial type front bonnet fitted. not a saloon one.  

*   Alternator conversion fitted. regulator modified and retained to look standard.

*   Front disc brake conversion fitted. servo fitted.

*   New Austin crinkly grille

*   MG Midget differential for better cruising speed.

*   Alloy rocker cover. also comes with original AUSTIN one.

*  Hydraulic Clutch conversion. resevoir under bonnet (Much better clutch. and self adjusting)

*Brake fluid resevoir fitted under bonnet

*LCB downpipe and Cherry Bomb exhaust fitted. nbsp; sounds good . if it's a bit loud you may want to put in an extra box. or maybe not.

*   New set of Superlites fitted. 7 x 13 Deep Dish. these are complete with chrome nuts and wheel locks and have 205 x 60 x 13 tyres fitted. also comes with two 13 inch steel spare wheels.

*   Stainless steel door tops

*   Halogen headlamp conversion with 100w bulbs.

*   I have fitted the smaller front side lights with twin filimant conversion. this means the indicator flashes white at the front. the rear ones flash red. later front indicators will be going with the vehicle and orange spare lenses for the rear. I think the older ones look much better and are still legal for a vehicle of this vintage.

*   Removable tow bar with flip down rear registeration plate. also look behind the plate and see it is all wired up for trailer lights.

*   Dropped 2 inches at the front and comes with lowering blocks for the rear. (not fitted) the rear wheels are fitted with spacers to match the front ones as they are out further due to fitting of disc brakes.

*   Pair of chrome Wipac Spotlights ( c/w covers) fitted and wired to main beam. . lso flashing headlamp switch added.

*   Correct stainless steel commercial type wing mirrors fitted (not saloon type)

*   Air horns

*   Larger washer bottle fitted. with motor and retaining original dash switch (modified . but looking original. fitted with microswitch)

*   Truck battery   12  x  6 x  8  . with quick release battery clamps.

*   Seat belts fitted

*   New seats fitted. (with headrests) recovered in black vinyl to match the original ones.

*  Proper Austin chrome interior door handles fitted (Different to Morris type)

*   New carpet

*   New leather door pulls

*   New vinyl door cards. fitted with period Radiomobile speaker covers. hidden behind these are 100w Sony speakers.

*   Motorola radio fitted. works and looks right. only AM and LW on it though.

*    Parcel shelf  with two chrome ashtrays fitted. this is from a saloon. commercials never got parcel shelves.

*   Sports steering wheel fitted. also comes with original wheel.

*   Extra Smiths clocks fitted in drivers side glovebox and centre console. nbsp; Amperes. Battery condition. Oil pressure. Temperature. Vacuum. Outside temperature. Time clock.
Original centre speedometer retained and dash not hacked about or damaged in any way. clocks are fitted in drivers side glove box and centre console.    

*   Custom made rear bed cover. with cutout for spare wheel which is mounted on the back of the cab. finished in black vinyl. this is a hard cover made with 25mm plywood. foam and covered in vinyl. you could stand on it. and it's waterproof too.

*Tailgate hinges and locking parts have been powder coated.
