Re-commissioned August 2013 after being stored in dry garage for 5 years. (Bill for £700. Car covered less than 5k miles since 2007)

1868 cc rebuilt 18GG engine with Piper 270 Cam and gas flowed unleaded cylinder head (Main rebuild 2004 for previous car. transferred to this car 2006. Only done 10-15k miles since rebuild) 55psi when hot.

Moss Supercharger. with K&N Filter and recommended Distributor. set up on rolling road when re-commissioning car (110 BHP at wheels at 4. 5k rpm)

Alternator fitted. refurbished starter motor. and spin on oil filter.

Kenlowe electric fan.

Stainless steel Falcon exhaust

3 sync overdrive gearbox (mechanically modified to only operate in 4th gear)

Front suspension fully rebuilt with Superflex Poly Bushes. uprated springs and dampers.

Front brake callipers rebuilt with new pistons and seals. stainless steel braided hoses and green stuff brake pads.

Alloy Wheels

Leather steering wheel. seats (from later MG BGT) and gear knob.

LED rear brake lights. including central strip brake light.

This is a very solid example of a 1967 Mk1 BGT. However. this is not a car for the purists! It is heavily modified. most significantly with the fitting of the Moss Supercharger kit (current cost around £3k). The engine is a +60 thous over bore that I built for my last BGT in 2004. with a Piper 270 cam and a gas flowed unleaded head. I transferred it to this car in 2006/7 when I bought this car and scrapped my last one. At the same time I source a 3 sync OD box to replace the non od box that was originally fitted. This was serviced and modified so that it only operates in 4th to prevent damage from power of planned supercharger upgrade. The supercharger was fitted in 2008. but I never completed the set up and the car ended up in the garage for 5 years until I took it to Entune in Bolton in Aug 2013 to get it set up and running. The car has a variety of other upgrades. including improved brakes. suspension and alloy wheels. The car has been restored in the past and is very solid underneath. Panel fits are consistent with a home restoration. so it looks good. but is not near concours standards. Mechanically in excellent shape.

A good solid Mk1 BGT and a rare opportunity to acquire a supercharged BGT.

Car is located near Northwich in Cheshire. About 7 miles from Jcn 19 of M6 and 3 miles from Jcn 10 of M56. Viewing recommended. please bring evidence of insurance to test drive.

Payment by bank transfer preferred.
