1953 Chevrolet 3100 short bed 5 window pickup truck just imported from California. This pickup has been the subject of a 5 year build and is reputed to have had over $35. 00 spent on it & it certainly looks like it has!  It has been stripped down and built from  a bare frame.  It is fitted with a new crate 327 Chevy engine. reconditioned 3 speed automatic gearbox. reconditioned rear axle. front end vented disc brakes. uprated shock absorbers. new prop shaft plus a superb stainless steel exhaust system and obviously all new brake and fuel lines etc etc. New  chrome disc wheels  and hub caps and new tyres. [the list could go on!] The underside of the vehicle looks nicer than the outside.  The truck was professionally re wired. it has 12volt electrics. all instruments are new as are switches etc. there is a concealed [in glove box] stereo system fitted . even the instruments are custom made and look fantastic. The interior trim is new including the headliner. the attention to detail is great. we have many more photos that can be emailed if you provide a private email address as we can only post 12 images on an ebay advert.    The exterior is finished in a metallic dark burgundy colour [see pictures] and although very smart and presentable the paintwork is less than perfect. the previous builder/ owner sent it to a professional bodyshop for painting and was disappointed with the result as it is not to quite the standard of the rest of the work carried out. that said it is certainly very presentable. A new hardwood rear body deck floor with stainless fittings is fitted as well as new bumpers and grill etc.  The pickup sounds fantastic and does not fail to put a big smile on any drivers face. transmission is smooth. brakes are razor sharp and the sound of that V8 is glorious. The above description does not do this pickup justice. viewing is recommended and welcomed. Is the lacquer work not too good condition.
