HERE IS MY CLASSIC 928 S WHICH I BOUGHT IN JANUARY 2011; THE PREVIOUS OWNER BOUGHT IT IN 1994. PRIOR TO THAT THERE ARE MOTs DATING BACK TO 1990 TO VERIFY THE MILEAGE.

SINCE 1994. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE FOLLOWING WORK DONE BY A PORSCHE SPECIALIST (ALL RECEIPTS ARE HERE AND I CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH THE NAME OF THE SPECIALIST SHOULD YOU WANT ) AND THE CAR WAS RESPRAYED IN JULY 2007.

THE ABOVE IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF WORK DONE. THERE WERE MANY OTHER ITEMS INCLUDED. THE ABOVE ARE THE MAIN ITEMS - THE RECEIPTS PROVIDE THE DETAIL.

THE CONDITION OF THE ENGINE CAN BE EVIDENCED BY THE EXHAUST EMMISIONS WHEN BEING MOTd- CO LEVEL IS 2. 39% (MAX IS PASS IS 4. 5%) AND HC LEVEL IS 183 PPM ( MAX PASS IS 1200 PPM)

SINCE 2010 THE ODOMOTER HAS STUCK AT 117. 17 ( THE FIX ACCORDING TO PORSCHE REQUIRES TAKING THE DRIVERS POD OUT AND PUTTING A WASHER BETWEEN THE CABLE AND THE POD - I HAVE NOT TRIED TO FIX THIS).

DURING THE TIME I HAVE HAD THE CAR I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR APPROXIMATELY 5000 MILES. THE REMAINDER OF THE TIME THE CAR HAS BEEN IN STORAGE - I USED TO USE THE CAR ON A DAILY BASIS. HOWEVER IN CAR PARKS ETC THE CAR SUFFERED BUMPS TO THE FRONT ARE REAR WHICH CRACKED THE PAINT. THE O/S FRONT WING HAS A SCRATCH. THE N/S REAR WING HAS THE PAINT SCRAPED OFF. THERE IS A DENT ON THE O/S REAR WINDOW PILLAR. I HAD GOOD INTENTIONS OF REPLACING THE UPHOLSTERY - SEE PICTURES FOR THE WEAR. WHICH IS THE LEATHER HAS SPLIT ALONG THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSCREEN. THE DRIVERS BOLSTER IS WORN. THERE IS A SMALL TEAR ON THE PASSENGERS SEAT AND THE CENTRE ARM REST HAS A Y SHAPED TEAR IN IT. SINCE THE CAR HAS BEEN IN STORAGE. THE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE THAT HAVE DEVELOPED ARE THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWN DOES NOT WORK. THE SUNROOF DOES NOT WORK (IT IS IN THE CLOSED POSITION). THE CRUISE CONTROL IS INTERMITTENT. THE BLOWER DOES NOT WORK. THE AIR CON HAS NOT WORKED SINCE I HAVE HAD THE CAR.

THE PREVIOUS MOT ISSUED ON 19 SEPT 2012 HAD ONE ADVISORY OF AN OIL LEAK ( THE OIL LEAK WAS FIXED IN ONE OF THE ABOVE SERVICES AND WAS A OIL RUBBER OIL PIPE - I WOULD GUESS IT IS THE SAME ISSUE).  THE PREVIOUS MOT WAS DONE IN WALES. FROM WHERE I DROVE IT BACK. AND POODLED AROUND UNTIL I PUT IT IN STORAGE LAST SEPTEMBER). THIS YEARS MOT HAS THE ADVISORIES ( AS PER MOT CERTIFICATE) OF N/S ANTI ROLL BAR LINKAGE RUBBER MOUNTING DETERORIATED BUT NOT RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE MOVEMENT. O/S ANTI ROLL BAR LINKAGE RUBBER MOUNTING DETERORIATED BUT NOT RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE MOVEMENT. N/S FRONT COIL SPRING CORRODED. REAR (BOTH) COIL SPRING CORRODED. FRONT (BOTH) WHEEL BEARINGS HAS SLIGHT PLAY. OIL LEAK ( AS MENTIONED ABOVE). PETROL TANK CORRODED. PLAY IN STEERING RACK INNER JOINTS. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE. I HAVE THE PORSCHE 928 WORKSHOP MANUAL ON CD WHICH WILL REVEAL ALL THE ANSWERS!

THIS IS A GOOD SOLID CAR. GREAT ENGINE. APPRECIATING CLASSIC THAT NEEDS A BIT OF TLC AND A NUMBER PLATE THAT IS A SOUND INVESTMENT!
