This is a lovely car that's basically ready to use and enjoy. Please read the description carefully and view all the pictures. It has some very desirable features which I will endeavour to outline below.

The car has covered 96. 00 miles. and this can be backed up with the paperwork.

The car has much history dating back to 1980. including a few photos of a major restoration it had during the 1990s. The car was subject to a full structural and bodywork restoration. along with a great deal of mechanical work. too – and a new interior!

The bodywork. as you can see. is in great shape overall. The Brooklands Green paint finish is excellent and has a real shine to it. The original wheels have been refurbished in the past few years and really set the car off well. The chromework is all good. with minor signs of age here and there. but has a superb shine to it. I imagine a lot of it will have been replaced when the car was restored. There are a few bubbles and marks here and there in the paintwork but there is no ‘rot' to speak of – both bodily and structurally. You can see that the car is very presentable indeed.

The car has been fitted with a Thatcham-2 Alarm and Immobiliser. at great cost. This is fully functional and isn't just botched into the wiring loom – it was done by a professional firm. There is also a CD player fitted to the car. with a radio.

It's been fitted with an aftermarket Holley carb – again. fitted professionally and at great cost.  The electrics all work absolutely fine – including the electric windows and PAS.

The car starts. runs and drives just as you'd expect. There are no nasty mechanical rattles. crunches or bangs. and the car pulls smoothly. The only two slight issues are a slightly blowing exhaust joint (a 50p gasket!) and the kickdown doesn't function – I've been told that this is down to adjustment of the kickdown cable. something that's very easy to sort indeed. They're both easily solved. and I may well find some time to do that myself before the car is sold.   The car does leak a bit of oil too. but that's to be expected and I imagine it won't be difficult to sort.

The car has been fitted with a Kenlowe fan. and hasn't overheated. or even got hot. whilst I've owned it.

The car comes with both hard and soft-tops – the hardtop is a metal one. in good order. The soft top is in good condition too with no leaks.   The interior. as mentioned already. is in very good order. with a little bit of wear to the driver's seat. The carpets are all good and the wooden dash is in good order and looks to have been re-varnished when the seat covers and carpets were replaced.

I am told that the suspension was re-bushed for last year's MOT. The car is MOTd until the end of May – I may be willing to MOT the car for another year subject to negotiation. I can't see it needing anything apart from the exhaust manifold to downpipe joint. It's taxed until the end of June and will be becoming free to tax in two years' time. thanks to the new rolling tax exemption.

Again. this is a car that's basically ready to use and enjoy. and I feel that it's priced very fairly for a car in this order. It's important to realise that this car isn't a show-piece: however. it's in very good order and looks externally fantastic on the road! Of course. a car of this age will require some TLC to ensure it remains as healthy as it is now. However. these cars are so simple in terms of design that even the amateur home mechanic can tackle most jobs.

--------------------------------

Please take your time looking through the photos – I am not trying to hide anything from prospective buyers. like the vast majority of people on eBay these days. Just check my feedback. and you'll see that I'm a completely honest seller.  Do remember that there is no substitute for coming to see the car yourself.

I strongly recommend viewing the car if you plan to buy. I've described it as well as I can. It is sold as seen with no warranty. and it must be inspected before you hand over any money. All funds must be cleared before the car can be taken away. UK BIDDERS ONLY. PLEASE!
The car must be collected from my home in Hulme. Manchester. M15. If you have ANY questions – please ask them BEFORE buying.

I can potentially arrange delivery by trailer at extra cost. but again. the car must be inspected before you pay me.

PAYMENT BY PAYPAL IS ONLY ACCEPTED IF YOU WILL PAY THE FEES!
