This is my friends Daimler DS420. built in 1980 she has the legendary Jaguar XK 4. 2litre engine mated to a silky auto box. For 34 years old she is in very good condition and is very complete. Unlike a lot of cars this age she is MOTed until August this year and is very solid with excellent floors. sills doors and scuttles. We were truly amazed when we had this car up on the ramp and can truly say that any inspection is welcome.
The car is the "standard" daimler limo layout with the drivers cabin partitioned from the rear. The rear has the main back seats with flat floor and 2 smaller fold down seats that fold up into the partition. All the rear carpets are present and are serviceable with only the drivers front footwell and passenger side front footwell missing. The back seats are in velour and in good condition. The drivers cabin is in excellent order with everything working and the seat in good condition for age.
The engine starts first time without any throttle or messing about and runs beautifully. She pulls well through the gears without any diff whines or knocks that most classic cars suffer from.
The car would benefit from a light renovation as the paint does have some discrepancies and some rusty stone chips. Please remember that this is a 34 year old hand built british car and not a 3 year old mondeo. The car will also be on an age related 1980 "w" number plate.
The car will be sold as seen to the highest bidder. YOU BID TO BUY not look.
