Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 276 votes
A rare and desirable car. only a small percentage of Silver Wraiths being bodied as Sedanca de Villes. and this one being handsome and in very good order. The car is very sound. smart and correct. with good quality black paintwork. original beige cloth in the rear. in nice condition. and recently re-upholstered to the front in black leather to a good standard. Running sweetly. driving nicely and hard to fault. MoT tested March 2015.

Chassis No. WVH95. Reg No. OLK 297. £55. 00.

Snippets – Kensington Gore

In December 1945 Capt Charles “Bill” Kendall. after the events of WWII decided to set up his own freight handling firm “Charles Kendall & Partners”. These partners included another ex-officer namely Col Thomas Wykeham Pragnell (4th Hussars WWI & AMS Western Command in WWII). The head office was in the elegant building of Albert Court in Kensington Gore and is still there today although the expansion of the company now means they have offices in the Middle East. Africa. India. America. New Guinea and Europe. The family is still very much involved with the 3rd generation of Kendalls. The headquarters of Kendalls is still in Kensington Gore – the area is named after the Gore estate which was set on the Gore – a narrow or triangular piece of land. Gore House has been home to William Wilberforce the political reformer (1808/21). then by Marguerite. Countess of Blessington & the Count D'Orsay (1836/49). The Count D'Orsay had conducted a brief but intimate relationship with the Countess in 1821 whilst her husband was still alive; to complicate matters further in 1827 Count D'Orsay had married Lady Harriet Blessington (daughter of Count Blessington by his 1st wife); the marriage between D'Orsay & Lady Harriet only lasted a few years & upon the death of Count Blessington in 1829 Count D'Orsay & Lady Blessington renewed their previous relationship and their union lasted until 1849.
