Jaguar XJ-S V12 ( very low mileage, stunning )

Thank you for viewing my lovely XJ-S V12 coupe. These cars are finally being recognised as one of the greatest GT's of all time. personally something Ive always appreciated. Its a rare Jaguar that becomes a classic in its own time but the XJ-S managed it. Yes we've all heard the arm chair pundits claiming the XJ-S not to be a true successor to the E-type. but the fact is it was never intended to be the F-type ! The XJ-S was aimed at a very changing world when launched. buyers expected more and the XJ-S delivered it in spades. BMW. Mercedes. Porsche and certain Italian car makers could not match the Jaguar for refinement. ride. handling and turbine smooth performance from one of the best production engines the world has seen . Jaguar's awesome V12 5. 3 litre.
This car is a 1985 V12. 5. 3 HE model finished in the rare and very classic colour of Rhodium Silver with Oxford blue hide interior. complimented by Starfish alloy wheels which marked this model out as the HE. It has only covered a believed genuine 30. 00 miles and looking at its condition I have no reason to doubt it. I have a covering letter from the last owner stating the mileage to be correct. his father and then a family friend owned the car before the son bought it back to use for high days and holidays just as his father did. In its early life the car had a couple of careful owners and ended up in the ownership of a Dutchman who used it for high days and holidays. it was then bought by a Mr Meadows in 1999 who used it sparingly for pleasure. it was then sold to a family friend circa 2003 and placed in long term storage. there is an MOT certificate from 2004 stating the mileage as 28. 50. The car would not see the light of day until Mr Meadows son bought the car back in 2012. he had it serviced and then used it as his father did for high days and holidays. The paint work is superb with a deep shine and no mismatched panels the paint is consistent and the panel gaps are as they left the factory. There are as to be expected one or two small marks mostly to the passenger door were it has been opened against something and left a couple of small chips. The bumpers are nice and straight and the chromes and rubbers are excellent. All 5 alloy wheels have excellent Pirelli tyres fitted and are in nice condition with only some minor marks. The interior is in superb order as would be expected with such a low mileage and a new head lining has been fitted. The car has been fitted with an extremely rare electric tilt and slide sunroof and has also been fitted with a Toad remote locking alarm/immobiliser. The engine sounds smooth and has excellent oil pressure and the engine temperature is text book . gear changes are smooth in operation and the kick down works as it should. I do believe a new radiator has been fitted at some point . also a new battery has been fitted. There are one or two very minor issues which if i get time I will try and sort. the passenger window and passenger door mirror have both stopped working the cruise is also inoperative. Ive owned a lot of XJ-S cars in my time and this is the nicest Ive seen in quite a while.
