Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 740 votes
Very rare 1978 Y88 Pontiac Trans am gold special edition.
This is an ideal restoration project for getting that rare Trans am at a good price or to do to make money on it when completed
Car has 58k miles on the clock
I have the full Pontiac historical service paperwork with the car.
Please be aware this car finished is worth £20-30k unlike a standard Trans am which may get you just over £10k

I have owned this car for quite a few years and with other projects and customers cars to do I just won't have the time to complete it. which is a shame as it was the car I always wanted.
6. 6L 400ci Pontiac motor with auto box. it does run nice but no exhaust on it at the moment.
Structurally the car is very solid. boot floor and rails are good. Drivers side rear floor needs replacing which I have the panel. Small hole passenger front floor. Doors could be repaired but I was going to get some good replacements. I have one excellent front fender. A mint boot lid and rear spoiler comes with the car. excellent rear lights. It came with euro spec lights which are quite valuable but I have red US spec ones as pictured. Bonnet is very good. bumpers are fine. Needs new cowl panel and Either rear quarters repairing or replaced. Bit of rust around t-tops. Excellent core support supplied with car. Also have a brand new GM front lower spoiler. Has the gold t-tops with bags. gold edition steering wheel and gear shifter.  Interior needs a retrim but comfortable. rear seats are not original but same style to get covered. Needs front screen. I have brand new rear drop panels for it and brand new GM indicators. Also a very rare original GM gold front emblem which is worth quite a bit on its own.
I would recommend coming and having a look and talking it over before placing a bid.
First picture is what it should look like finished. next pics are what it looks like now and I will put some on of when I got it last to show what bits it has with it.
Please if you don't have the funds or low feedback rating please don't bid. I want a genuine bidder who knows what they can do with the car. please don't waste both our time.
Any questions please feel free to ask
This car has no MOT or tax so will need to be trailed away. I do know someone who can do this for you to make it easier if needed.
Thanks for looking and good luck if your interested
Will add more as I remember or get asked but think I have covered everything

I have had a lot of genuine people enquire about the car but also a few time wasters. If you have no idea about these cars and just want to waste my time please do not contact me telling me how much these cars are worth or offering silly amounts for it. I would rather keep it and it is not fair on the bidders that are actually interested.
