We have owned this 1948 P2 Rover 16 for almost 3 years and in that time we have replaced the ignition coil. removed the cylinder head for specialist machining. fitted 6 new valve seats. valves and a full set of valve guides – re-fit cylinder head with new gaskets. removed and replaced leaking core plug to cylinder block and refurbished the carburettor.

The interior is in very good order and in 2008 she benefited from a new headlining. carpets and upholstery plus all wood work was re-polished

In 1964 she was changed from black to its current (and most attractive) Great Western Railway Pullman colours (Cream & Brown) as we understand the owner at that time worked for GWR!

She drives as she should and is a very usable classic. she  turns heads wherever she goes and having the more powerful straight six engine has no problem keeping up with modern traffic conditions.

Only two previous owners!!

Most of the instrumentation is of good working order with the exception of the clock and the temperature gauge. the sliding sunroof was sealed a number of years ago and is water tight.  

The car comes complete with a large box file of receipts. MOT's. invoices etc.

Although the paintwork is good as you can see from the photographs there are a few micro blisters/ imperfections to be expected from a car of this age and the asking price reflects this.

This is a private sale and we are located less than 3 miles from junction 16 of the M1.
