Here for auction is my lovely 1969 Rover P5b Coupe. I bought this car in October last year with the intention of restoring it. It took me a long time to find the right car as I wanted a good solid car to start with and a good engine. I bought the car from Edinburgh and flew up and drove the car home to Bucks! it only took me 11 hours. The car ran home like a dream. I am only selling the car as I am getting married (great) and have to pay for the wedding (not that great) so have to sell the car (not great at all. )The only problem I have had with the car is a fuel starvation problem which has been caused by rust in the fuel tank. so I have another tank which I will resin and fit before the car is sold. The car underneath is solid. as are the door pillars and sills etc. the breaks are very good. and the mechanics are all good. the car has a tow bar as a previous owner had a caravan. he had the rear suspension strengthened so the car sits slightly high on the back. The paintwork is not perfect. but as you can see from the photos. it is not too bad. It has had a respray in the past as far as I can tell. but under the paint. the bodywork seems solid. The interior of the car is a bit worn. but not too bad. The carpet in some of the front is not original. but the floor carpet is as it should be. I would suggest that the window seals will need to be done. although they are not leaking. just looking tired. if you are looking for a car to restore. then this is a good base to start from. I have tried to be as honest as I can with the description. I will add on any information if I think of anything else. Please do email me if you have any questions at all. Advertised elsewhere. so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Please could the winning bidder pay a £200 deposit via paypal. and the rest cash on collection Many thanks. Jay
