Offered for sale this very nice 1975 Mini 850

We are one of the longest established Mini Specialist still owned and run by the founder Dean in 1991

This Mini 850 has been owned by the same person since 1988. It was his first car! In the very early 1990's he had the body work overhauled (not by us) and then the Mini sat in his parents garage for almost 20 years with very little use. His parents had to move house and so he had no where to store the Mini and could not afford to re-commission the Mini so decided to sell it to us.

We have done nothing to the body work apart from polish it. however the mechanical side was a different issue since it had sat for along while with little use. So we have carried out the following work.

Engine/gearbox remove. cleaned and repainted. Flywheel removed clean new clutch fitted along with main flywheel housing oil seal. New Water pump. bypass hose & manifold gasket.  Engine/gearbox refitted - new spark plugs. oil filter. engine oil. contact points. condenser. rotor arm. distributor cap. air filter. thermostat+gasket. antifreeze. radiator & radiator cap. New cylinder mounted heater valve. New lower and upper radiator hoses. New Upper engine steady bushes. several new hose clamps

New Exhaust system fitted with new mounts and 2 bolt clamp to manifold

All brakes stripped down. the 6 brake cylinders where renewed 20 years ago so just required cleaning & new seals fitting. Brake adjusters all freed off. Brake master cylinder removed & new seals fitted. All new brake fluid.

Suspension & subframes did not require any work nor the clutch hydraulics which the owner had replaced a few months ago when he first tried to move the mini.

The Mini drives very nicely. it has been in for an MoT test and passed with no advisories. MoT expires 13. 3. 2015

I must stress this is not a restored Mini but a re-commissioned Mini. as you can see is very well presented. It could be used as an everyday car but we would strongly advise against this. It should be purchased to be used as a classic car to be taken out in the summer or nice clear dry spring/autumn days but perhaps put away in the winter. If used in the rain it will rust as all minis do.

It is sold as seen tested and approved. This is a 39 year Mini so we can not give a full warranty. however we will sell it with a one month or 1000 miles (which ever occurs first) warranty covering the clutch. brakes. exhaust. water pump and cylinder head gasket to give some peace of mind.  This warranty does not include recovery or the cost to return the Mini to us for repair. The warranty is only valid if repairs are undertaken by us.

We have demonstration insurance but you will need to bring your drivers licence.
