 From the late 60's thru 1989. elmark produced and sold completed cars and kits. Body design was taken directly from a 1967 Ferrari 246 Dino. A wide array of power trains were used from 4 cylinder to big block V8's. The record at Bonnevile for fastest kit car is held by Kelmark GT at over 200 MPH. This car is powered with a 1600 dual port twin carb VW. as front disc brakes. oni shocks. ull VDO illuminated gauges including tach and cylinder head temp. as intergrated roll bar. oll up windows. ll glass in car is tempered safety glass. as windshield wipers and washers. ll ducting for heat. efrost. nd fresh outside air. oomy cockpit(but you will be pushing the envelope if you are over 6 feet tall). as very large trunk big enough to fold two people in and close the hatch. uns and drives very well. rives and feels like a sports car. andles like a rally car. ots of fun to drive. till in it`s original white jell coat with some spots of primer. eeds paint. oor seals and other small misc cosmetic detail but body and frame are in excellent condition. o shakes. attles or fractured fiberglass or loose doors or any other parts. Any part for this car is readily available. Very road worthy as it is. I drive it a couple times a week.

 The VW engine is peppy but the car drives and handles so well it could easily take more power. The VW only takes up about 60% of the engine compartment so it could easily accept a 6 cylinder Porsche or Corvair or. y friend has a similar 904 Porshe replica and he like many others are using the Subaru WRX 4 cylinder which is 180 HP or 300 HP with the Turbo version which he is running. Used Subaru engines are readily available and adapter kits run around $500. 00. The alternative would be one of the many VW new high performance engines available that range up to 300 HP.

Car is registered as a 1967 VW so no emission problems or test required.
