1970 MGBGT with overdrive. Nice clean daily driver. Reserve lower than what rusted out examples have sold for on ebay.

This is my daily driver. I have owned it for years but finally will buy a new car. I have maintained it with repairs as needed along the way. There is no rust that I ever found except in the trunk floor where water leaked through the deck lid seal and left a little swiss cheese. I treated the spots and there is no issue. NOT any rot like east coast cars. The body. sills. pillars. jambs. nbsp;etc are solid.

So over the years of driving it I have kept it looking good and running. Most all parts came from Moss motors. Not all at the same time we:  repainted it the original red. Pulled all the glass and replaced seals and a new windshield at the time. Also added an air dam. The interior just got too ratty so replaced seats. carpet and door panels. Just put new tires on it. New battery. Replaced front brake calipers. Has anza exhaust. The lights. wipers. turn signals oil pressure. temp all work. The tach is intermittent and the speedo stopped working last year. I bought another dash with all working gauges for replacements. goes with the car. I have the chrome trim for the grille. I removed it and like the look better. Temp runs on the cold side of the normal mark. Always has for some reason. Starts in 2 seconds year round with no choke. Engine runs strong. No smoke or knocks. Doesn't drip or smoke. Shifts through the gears and overdrive is a dream on the freeway. Overdrive seeps some oil.

Overall it is a nice MG in good condition. I am getting tired of the noise. vibration. no air conditioning and frequent repair issues. It has the typical British constant repair syndrome. Tail light has to be fixed. 2 weeks later a carb adjustment. 2 weeks later bleed the slave cylinder. 2 weeks later some rattle or noise to be tightened. etc. etc. It is 45 years old and makes a nice second car or candidate for a full resto. but too much work for me to keep it as a daily driver.

I have always sold fair. leave room for the buyer to own it. and sell it later for same or more money. I am not a car dealer. Just moving on and want the buyer to be happy with this little car. It is sold as-is because it is old and British. You should be happy with it so please no complaints. Make sure it is the car you want before buying it. Never had an issue. and don't need any for a little old MG.

Please read this. as I have had buyers set their own payment schedule. $500 paypal within 24 hours of close. Balance within 3 days. cash on pick up. cashiers check by express mail. bank transfer. Can store the car but payment must be made within the timeframe. I move to the back-up bidder the day after the buyer misses a payment.

Think you have to buy it right away for your wife's birthday? I am always interested in hearing what you think it is worth to you.

Wow. a lot of interest and questions. I will answer some here as there are many of the same questions. Some questions about the restoration. The car has not been restored. It is is original other than what I thought it needed along the way to keep it presentable and drivable. It is an average (for a west coast car) drivable MG that can be used as-is or a great solid candidate for a full restoration.

You international buyers. YES. I will help arrange shipping out of the Long Beach. LA port. Will drive it up there for you and leave it securely with the shipper on your behalf. No charge. It is about an hour drive.

I posted a picture of that area in the trunk pan that got water to it. There are a couple areas like this one in the picture.

The new tires are Yokohamas. I have a full length rear bumper that goes with the car. I know these half bumpers are rare as only the 70 had them but I like the full bumpers and the chrome is "fair" on the car and the replacement bumper is better.
