I'm am selling a 1968 GMC Long bed pick-up truck. I recently purchased the truck from my neighbor. I have very little history on the truck other then it was my neighbors grandfathers truck. The truck is a base model truck with no power-steering or power brakes. I am willing to answer all questions regard this truck as I do not want to miss-represent this truck in any way. The truck has recently had a new paint job which is Charcoal Grey. Who ever did the body work did an ok job in my opinion. There is a couple areas where filler was applied that could have been feathered out better. The paint job is nice with a very nice shine and no runs or sags. The wheels on the truck are 6 lug 22" wheels. they have a little pitting and a few spots of minor rust that could possible be cleaned. They are missing the center caps and I am not sure if they can be procured as these are discontinued wheels (Ultra). The tire appear to me to have between 40-50% of their original tread remaining. The tires and wheels are mounted on the truck using aluminum spacers (expensive). This was done to prevent the tires from rubbing. which they don't.

Power Train:

The engine in this truck is a Chevy 305 with a 3-speed transmission. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smooth (no grinding). Not knowing the history of the engine I did a compression check on all eight cylinder. each cylinder had a reading of 125 of pressure or more. The engine as headers. Edelbrock intake and a four barrel carb. The items that are New on the engine is the Edelbrock Carb. MSD ignition. Edelbrock Valve covers and air cleaner. The truck also as a new exhaust system using dual Flow Master mufflers.

The transmission is a 3-speed ( I would guess Saginaw). the neighbor moved the shifter from the column to the floor and installed a New floor shifter. he shifter still needs some adjusting (no money just time). The hole cut in the floor was done nice (no hack job).

Body:

The body does appear to be pretty straight on this truck. I can see were the body man use some filler in the rockers indicating there could be or has been some evidence of rust at one time. I am not sure if he fixed the rust or just covered it up. the paint in those areas are not bubbling.  I would say the truck had some minor rust in a couple areas of the lower doors and the rocker areas. The floors look really clean with on surface rust on the bottom of the floors. The bed has some surface rust both in the box and on the bottom (no cancer). A wire brush would clean this surface rust off. The bed has on a few minor dents inside the box (see picture). The truck has no evidence of every being in a wreck.

Interior:

The interior was painted the same color as the exterior. The interior has new carpet. newly upholstered seat. new steering wheel. new defroster vents and ducts. new glove box liner. and a new heater core. The radio is a stock AM radio that does not work. The heater does work.

Things that do not work:

Gas gauge

Turn signals

Radio

Things new to the truck:

Seat

Glove box liner

Carpet

Heater core

Interior/exterior door handles

Paint

Exhaust Flow Master

Edelbrock Carburetor

MSD Distributor

Tail light lenses

Marker lenses

New Lower ball joints

I have tried to describe the truck best that I could. I am sure I have missed something's so please ask questions if you have concerns.
