This Charger is a well documented numbers matching big block HP383 4 barrel (Engine serial number 0G1879130). 727 trans (Trans serial number G1879130). 8 3/4" rear with 3. 23's (489 case) . dual exhaust.  hardtop (not vinyl. it's currently painted black krinkle). power steering. Runs. drives. and brakes great. Handles nice and engine doesn't smoke. Trans shifts fine. Extremely solid foundation for a restoration. Undercarriage is rot free. just surface rust in spots. Structurally. this car is extremely sound. Underhood is basically original and untouched except for standard service parts. Car was built in St Louis and spent it's life in North Carolina; I have basically all service records. license plates. registrations. documentation. etc from the original owner. I'm the third owner; I can describe the details of ownership to interested parties. I also have the broadcast sheet. window sticker. original sales pamphlets. operator's manual. quality punch cards. steering lock instructions and showroom advertisements (such as the card that describes the start procedure) that came with car when new. The documentation is really cool and traces the history of the car. Car will come with the original 14”magnum 500 wheels (as noted on broadcast sheet); I am keeping the Eagle Alloy rims shown in the photos.

Interior is very complete but needs restoration. It has typical wear for a non-restored vehicle of it's age and mileage. Seats have tears. carpet is fair. all panels are decent. driver's armrest is worn and and torn. wood grain shows some fading. gauges work but each acts up now and then. dash pad has a few cracks. I removed most of the headliner as it was hanging and tickling my head on cruises J.

Exterior is very complete but cosmetically challenged (looks a bit like a rat rod now). Body is pretty straight save for a few minor dings. Some minor repairs had been performed by original owner. Original B5 blue but was peeling and the car had surface rust on top surfaces; now primed in those areas. I basically Ospho'd it then primed. The intent was to restore this car one day but I have another project that will be receiving much attention in the coming months. Trunk has been patched in center. Trim is complete but chrome has some pitting. Stainless is in nice shape all around. Lights work. headlight motor works (I tested it) but the switch will not activate it anymore. Reverse lights work. Flashers work along with turn signal mechanism but signals are acting up. Small hairline crack in the lower driver's side of windshield. Brand new fuel tank and 2 ½”mandrel bent Flowmaster tailpipes and turbo mufflers. Brakes redone last year.

As noted in the pics. the car has many original inspection marks still visible. I'm not sure what the ones dated 1970 under the hood mean. The diff still has it's original marks. I also have the original spare rim (tire is shot).

I'd really like to keep this car due to its originality and documentation but I have other projects and need both the room and time to work on them. Maintaining 3 Mopar muscle cars is fun but takes time. which is very hard for me to find these days.

Please bid ONLY if you are in the market for a solid. complete restoration project as described above. It is obviously not a show car. but a fine example of a complete and original 1970 Charger 500. From one Mopar enthusiast to others. this car is a great foundation for a restoration. Clean NC title in my name.  Car is currently tagged and we drive it around town occasionally. I will exchange my phone number with serious parties. Feel free to ask questions. More pics can be sent on request.
