Technical specifications, photos and description:
Originally a rare Pearl Grey 5 door 8v gti. it has been converted to 2lt 16v ABF from a 95k N plate Mk3 Gti. there are stacks of receipts. It's running the standard ABF ecu & fits into the original fuse box so looks tidy. It's been running like this for some 4 years without problems. There is a rolling road print out for 158bhp but this maybe more now as she has a stainless longlife system on with transferable warranty. The best part is it returns 40 plus miles to the gallon. even though it's nice & rapid but I mainly just puttle round or clean her.
There is a sach clutch in a rebuilt O2 gearbox with linkage bushes replaced & a lightened flywheel so it doesn't kill the box. The chassis has fully adjustable for height & damping koni coilovers which are not cheap. this means you can go low & still have a soft ride! The wheels which I'm still not sure I want to sell at all are unspeakably rare :0) Fondmetal Porsche 924 Turbo 16" 7 & 8j with sensible stretched new Nankang Tyres fitted. Wheels are very clean with the lips highly polished & the centres grey (could do with a touch up). The rears didn't originally fit so I put genuine g60 rear arches on to accommodate. If these aren't to your taste I have a set of of 15" bbs reps which we can discuss if they're preferred.
The interior is fully adjustable mk3 colour concept seats with the leather conditioned to black & grey. looks very nice. My favourite bit is the wooden momo steering wheel from the now rare 309 gti Goodwood. Head unit is Kenwood with up rated speakers & a subtle sub & amp in the rear arch.
This car really does want for nothing with 12 months mot. just take to the festivals/meets & enjoy. In fact she has just come back from Ultimate Dubs where she was on the mk2 owners club stand & got an awful lot of attention/questions. There is probably loads of little things I've forgotten.
Viewing is recommended. if there are any questions feel free. my intension is let the auction run.
