1973 Triumph GT6 MK3

It is with great regret that I am having to sell my beloved Triumph GT6 MK3.

It has been in the family for approximately 17 years. Unfortunately it was garaged between 2002 and 2008 during which time it was not driven at all. However it was rescued by my grandfather in 2008 and has since under gone extensive work to bring it back to its former glory.

It is usually driven weekly during the summer months and hibernates in the garage during the winter.

Detailed below is a list of just some of the work that has been carried out which totals roughly £6. 00. 00:-

Complete new respray in original Primrose yellow colours.

New wing mirrors and tailgate kit.

Newish tyres. (Have not got around to sandblasting)

New twin exhaust system. ( Makes for an incredible sports sound)

New black leather upholstery

Complete new interior trim/lining although front dash. dials and steering wheel are all original.

All new interior seals/trims and wiring renewed.

All rust points treated and any re welding carried out. (Rear boot door filled with wax to prevent water access and rust.

Complete new gear stick kit as old one had ceased.

Engine removed and cleaned. Fine tuned on a number of occasions.

Twin carbs regularly removed and cleaned.

New rocker gasket and radiator cap.

New (very recent) Air filters and all pipes and clips renewed.

New spark plugs

New fuel pump. and renewed all hoses.

All points renewed.

New condenser.

Various brake work carried out (new pads etc).

This just to list a few. Majority of bills for all works carried out dating back to 2008.

5 former keepers before my family acquired the vehicle in 1996.

Couple of minor teething problems I must make all buyers aware of. Small Paint crack above right headlight but not really noticeable. Right headlight interior worn and Minor Oil Leak under engine but not serious at all. Also rev counter doesnt work.

Unfortunately I have a very busy life and this car is just not getting the attention it deserves and I feel it would benefit more from someone who has more time to spend on it. When I have time in the summer I attend the odd car show and give it a good run. Real head turner. When it is not on the road it is permanently garaged.

MOT Expires JUNE 2014

Car is taxed but will be exempt from April 2014 due to new government legislation.

Car runs perfectly and could be driven away no problem.
