1973 Corvette Convertible, L82

My auctions are different than most - I will tell you all I know about this Corvette!

The "T" in the vin number denotes the rare L82 option

The L82 engine replaced the LT1 engine from 1972

There were 34. 64 1973's produced. this is the 9. 62 produced

It is matched up with the following options:

History of this Corvette: A three owner Corvette that has great ownership history that is documented from 1984! The car was originally owned by a lady in Las Vegas up until 1983. it then moved to Arizona in 1984 and ended up in Florida. Alabama and ultimately Atlanta.  It has one of the nicest rust free frames I have ever seen! In 1984 it had only 85. 00 miles and today 20 years later it has only 99. 62!

In April of 2002 it underwent a restoration. It had 94. 00 miles in 2002 and has just 99. 62 miles now! The following best describes the restoration:

Body: This is an unhit body. A new fiberglass front bumper was installed flush with the body. The original paint was stripped to bare glass. The car was then refinished professionally in a silver base coat clear coat. It was originally yellow (paint code 952).  1977 mirrors replaced the single chrome original equipment mirror.

Interior: It still retains it's original black leather (trim code 404) interior. The door panels are original and the seat covers. carpets. and convertible top have been replaced using Al Knoch components.

Engine: The car retains its original 4 bolt 350ci engine that was torn down and rebuilt. It is still a standard bore with new rings and bearings. new cam bearings and timing chain. The heads were redone and the 2. 02 valves were resurfaced with new valve seats and new GM valve springs. An Elderbrock Performer intake was installed. a new fuel pump. hoses. motor mounts. rebuilt starter and alternator. etc. It starts and runs like new! The original intake. air cleaner. smog pump are still available with the car.  

Drivetrain: Original matching number Muncie 4 speed was dismantled and rebuilt with a new 3rd gear. new synchronizers. nbsp;output bearings. mount. seal and yoke. A new Borg Warner clutch and presure plate kit was installed. New rear wheel bearings. all of the "U" joints were replaced and the drive shaft was balanced.  

Misc: All new - heater core. nbsp;A/C evaporator (A/C converted to R34). radiator. rag joint. stainless calipers. brake lines. p-steering hoses. etc

Tires and wheels: A newer set of high polished alloy 1982 Corvette aluminum wheels were installed with new radials.

This is a GREAT Corvette and will give the new owners years of enjoyment. The slight custom enhacements are tastefully done. The paint has held up well with minimal signs of wear and minor blemishes. It draws attention every time it is driven!
