I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that had placed bids on this car up until it was removed yesterday afternoon. It was the ebay policing department that decided to remove it and not myself. So. here goes again and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Presenting a very rare and unique opportunity to purchase a magnificent. very early Ford Granada MK2 with incredibly low miles. stunningly original specification and most importanly. un-restored! Having over 45 years experience within the Motor Trade. vehicles of this calibre really are nigh on impossible to find and very rarely come onto the open market. This is quite possibly your only chance to aquire one of the oldest surving MK Granada's which has been preserved in this fantastic state. before values really do go through the roof.

Presenting a wonderfully original. un-restored Ford Granada MK2 V6 2. 3 L with manual gearbox. Confirmed as being produced within the first batch ( September 1977 ) of MK2 production. this car left the Ford factory at Cologne and was delivered to it's first owner on the 11th October 1977. Finished in a very stunning and rare colour combination of Gemini Blue metallic and having covered just 33192 miles since new. Amazingly it still retains all of it's original factory fitted panels and has never seen a welder anywhere. Every panel is as it left the Ford factory. both inner and outer sills are original. as are the wheel arches. boot floor and inner and outer wings. front and rear scuttles etc. Even the paint code sticker is still in it's correct place on the near side back panel. it states F. A Bollig & Kemper XSC 1150 ( the correct paint code for Ford Gemini Blue ). All panel gaps are millimetre perfect and completely flush. It has been said many times over the years that Ford panel fit was never great in the 70's and 80's. however you could argue otherwise when you look at the panel fitment on this particular car.

It still displays it's original number plates ( the very old style ). tax disc holder. rear window sticker and dealer keyring. The original jack ( Ford stamped ). wheel brace and spare wheel straps are all correct and in superb condition. The original foam boot liner is present and correct and again is in fantastic condition. Original Ford push button MW/LW radio is fitted and working and is linked to the original Ford stamped aerial. Everywhere that you look just keeps coming back to one very important word within the classic car market. originality!

The correct sports road wheels are immaculate and are fitted with excellent Michellin tyres. Please note that the spare wheel is fitted with a Firestone tyre.

The interior just oozes 70's Ford charm and simplicity. Covered in black Beta Cloth. the seats are in fantastic condition and the cloth still remains remarkably tight. All the piping is intact and excellent. the chrome seat back recliner levers are again excellent. The carpet is superb and still retains it's pile and is stain free. The "soft touch" dashboard is crack free and the original two spoke steering wheel is still in place and showing very little signs of use. All door cards are in "as new" condition and they remain speaker free. as does the rear parcel shelf.

The car has been stored correctly for many. many years. However. it has recently benefitted from recommisioning. This included a complete brake system overhaul. new brake pipes. calipers. discs. pads. drums and all fluids. The coolant system has again been overhauled with all new Ford hoses and the complete system flushed through. The car has had a full. complete service. carbs set. new exhaust system and Motorcraft battery.

It starts first turn of the key. The automatic choke works exactly as it should and the engine is silent. even from cold with no tappet noise. It drives just like the day it was delivered almost 37 years ago! The four speed gearbox is just lovely to use and there are no untoward noises from either the gearbox or the rear differential. Needless to say. the brakes are in perfect order.

It would be very easy to go on about just how nice this car is all day long. It has got the very odd tiny little chip that has been touched in over the years. but I am being incredibly picky. I would also suggest that it has had some paint rectification within it's 37 years. however if it has then it has to be at least 20/25 years plus ago and quite possibly even within it's first year or two. It has two tiny little blisters on the rear wheel arch lips.  Please appreciate that none of the above detract from how magnificent this car really is. I would be confident to say that you will not find a more original MK2 Granada on the open market today. either in the UK or worldwide. There may be a handful of cars that would come close but none that are currently up for sale.

The photo's were taken yesterday and they have not been tampered or tinkered with in any way. This beautiful early Granada presents itself exactly as it does in the photo's. it is simply stunning!

The car will come with a full 12 months MOT upon purchase. Also present are the current V5. some old MOT's. some service receipts etc. Both keys are present and each key operates door locks. ignition and boot. The original owners handbook is present. but not the full Ford wallet.

The reserve is set incredibly realistic for such a wonderful early example. If the reserve is not met I will gladly just tuck it away and keep it. If you are looking for a car to be proud to own then this is the one. It would not look out of place sat inside a Ford showroom today.

A deposit of £250 is required within 24 hours of auction end.

Thank you.
