Fantastic on the road
Up for bids is this show quality Triumph TR4. This car was completely restored. frame off. every nut and bolt. A full rebuild of the motor was also done. as well as rebuilds of the suspension. brakes. cooling. electrical and fuel systems. The car has logged just over 1000 trouble free miles since. it is fully road tested and at the top of its game.

The car was taken completely apart. the frame. body panels and tub were all stripped down to metal. Finished in its original color of New White. code 19. the car is pretty incredible everywhere you look. The body panels are all excellent with absolutely zero rust issues and good panel fit.
The wheels are correct 60 spoke painted wires mounted on new Vredestein Sprint Classics. These tires has a classic sidewall and tread pattern yet utilize modern tire construction methods.
Both bumpers and over-riders are excellent with no flaws. Fender beading is all new and all of the chrome trim on the car is terrific. All of the car's weatherstripping is new. every piece.
The Triumph emblem and letters show some light tarnishing but still present pretty well. Front and rear valance are both perfect with no damage.
Lights and lenses are all excellent. As you can see in the photos. the paint finish is glass smooth with deep reflections.
The windshield was replaced and is crystal clear. The gasket. insert and apron are new as well. The trunk and entire undercarriage has been treated with Lizard Skin thermal and sound insulation coating.
New convertible top and restored soft top frame. both with excellent fit and finish. If you've ever tried to wrestle with a top that doesn't fit right you'll appreciate this one.
The interior has been completely redone with leather seating. new carpet. underlayment. door perimeter edging. and panel kit.
New upper and lower dash pads. The window channels are all new. as well as the weather seals and felt strips.
A new wiring harness means that every electrical item in this car is working correctly. Yes. Lucas. the Prince of Darkness. has been foiled in this car. All gauges work correctly and show good. consistent readings. Lights. signals. fan. wipers. horn - all working. The car features a satellite-ready RetroSound radio with inputs for iPods and other devices.
Upper dash pad is perfect on top but shows some wrinkling underneath the leading edge. The areas underneath the dash and rear seat are clean and tidy.
The motor has been rebuilt with new pistons and hardened valve seats for use with unleaded fuel. It's a bit cold blooded on idle at startup but once underway the car is brilliant. It has a smooth. balanced powerband with excellent throttle response. matched by an exhaust note that will bring a smile to your face. You'll be blown away by the way this car drives. This Triumph shifts flawlessly. all hydraulic components in the car are new. the entire suspension is new and features the tube shock upgrade at the rear. Height and ride adjustable Spax coil-overs have been installed. they are presently set for a firm ride and redefine the word nimble; this car handles like it's on rails. The cooling system features an electric fan upgrade kit from Moss. thermostatically activated. The removal of the stock fan belt and pulley does indeed add some horses but most importantly assures that this TR4 always runs cool. Lastly. a spin on oil filter adapter was added. as well as electronic ignition.
The undercarriage photos reflect the level of attention that this restoration was given. The car is fully sorted and ready for many miles of enjoyment.
